She obviously matters to alot of people ergo her appearance in Marvel Vs Capcom 2, Resident Evil 5 oh and the fact she was the main character of 3, fair enough you don't like her but that doesn't mean every other person in the world has to find her useless and certainly doesn't mean we have to pretend she doesn't exist and doesn't matter.
I like Jill she's better then all those damsel in distress or whiny Ashley types that's for damn sure.
She was the main character of three for no other reason than because she was a familiar sprite, and the story wasn't far ENOUGH removed to warrant an entirely new character. Three isn't essential to the story, it doesn't move the plot along, it's just saying "Meanwhile, as the actual plot of two was happening, Jill was doing stuff.".
The FACTS show she is not an essential plot character. The facts, not my opinion.
The only reason they'd ever do anything with her is because fans keep asking. She wasn't written to be a main plot character. Her story wasn't even canon in the first game, Chris's was.
Scratch that. I just got a combo of 100 today with tribal Sheva on PA (I was using battle suit Jill when I got 94 earlier on). If me and my random partner (who was midnight Wesker) had gotten the last enemy before the combo time ran out, then we would've gotten 101... lol
I has also gotten better at handling Wesker's speed dash properly. Depending on your control scheme, basically just press right trigger to do his knee attack while running (which adds 5 seconds to your time like any other melee attack if you kill a zombie with it), and change direction by pressing a direction with the stick you click to dash and the A-button. I like going in the same directions back and forth to do speed combos against random majinis. It's fun.
Also DLC costumes have been confirmed, on Capcom-unity fans were asked to make a list of costumes they would like to see by the Friday and then that list would be sent on to Capcom's Japanese development site.
So DLC begins, I'm not that interested in costumes but hey...it's a start right?
Yeah but that could be said for any RES game, I like RES but even I know the plot is stupid as hell.
Also there is importance in RES3 due to the Nemisis infecting Jill she produced powerful antibodies against the T-Virus these antibodies formed the basis for Uroboros a key plot point in RES5 and without them Wesker would have never created Uroboros.
Heh, I guess so. The secretary costume of Sheva with glasses sure looks interesting.. but Chris's costume = lol WTF?
I'm curious to see if they'll give new outfits to Jill and Wesker as well.
It couldn't be said for any Resi game. Take out number 2 and you miss massive plot, take out 1 or 4 and you miss massive plot.
3 was nothing more than a "Meanwhile...while the actual story is happening, someone all you pre-teen boys like was doing something else.". It's a good game, it's just not plot necessary.
and that's fine, but is how relevant it is to the plot really that big a deal? i mean, resident evil games have never really been about deep, well structured plots, and the whole "parasites that make people in to zombies that aren't really zombies" thing was always kinda stupid in my eyes.
also, on the subject, the re2 "will leon and ada ever make it or will their loyalties get in the way" thing was the best of a bad bunch of storylines, imo.
Doesn't change a thing Darkhalen said here apparently:
You can't have Uroboros without the antibodies Jill produced from being infected by the Nemesis in RE3, so if you were to take that game out of the picture, RE5 would pretty much be taken out as well since there would be no Uroboros... thus you would miss a huge piece of massive plot.
The Uroboros project was already planned. He kidnapped her after she tackled him out the window to use her as a test subject for it. The only reason he discovered her anti-bodies was because he put her into cryo-stasis which re-activated the virus. When it died off, he then used the anti-bodies to IMPROVE Uroboros, not create it.
So no, she isn't necessary. 5 would have happened anyway. Either way, Jill even being involved in this was determined by her diving out of the window. Had she not, Wesker wouldn't have had her; fact. Uroboros would have still gone ahead in some form.
Yeah I read about these stories as well, (the motion one just now actually) the film sounds well meh, I have no interest in them so whatever, something about zombies in a prison from what I gather.
I honestly fail to see the point in re-releasing RES 5 with sixaxis what have you but eh they've done the same sort of thing with every other game in the series.
