I dunno. I like most of the new characters and all, but it doesn't feel the same without some of the old ones too. At first I thought reunion was going to have everyone from the original mercs as well...
I usually pick up one of the nearby proximity bombs early and save it for the Reaper when it comes. The explosion alone doesn't kill it, but it tenderizes the Reaper enough to make it much easier to take out with most of your guns (regardless of where you shoot it), and will keep your combo going as well if a majini gets hit by the proximity too.
I know what you meen. Sometimes I go back to old mercs, or versus just to play with the old characters again, I meen I still like the old characters, but just love to play something new. It's horrible having to choose separate modes to use separate characters you like.
Well, they looked believable. When I'm hyped for something (like I was for this DLC), I usually don't bother to double-check whether a related pic I see is real or fake, unless it's real obvious. The fact you believed them to be legit too at first makes you just as naive as me.
Eh, at least the Excella being included part wasn't a lie.
And the grenades, and what not. The stun rod itself counts as a melee kill too, ironically, and allows HM Chris to run much faster than he does while holding the gattling gun.
One of the bad things about the gattling gun too is that aside from it being much harder to aim with than most guns (at least for me), it doesn't really make the boss majini flinch like all the other powerful weapons do. You could be shooting an executioner or chainsaw guy constantly with the gattling gun, and they can still attack you with their weapons as though they were never being hit. I learned that the hard way.
Also, I hate how the Desperate Escape achievements seem to be ****ing glitched. Like, I got a notification for each one I got like I usually would, but the system doesn't seem to recognize that I got 'em unless I go straight to Compare Games with someone, and the achievements themself weren't even added to my gamerscore. They better fix this crap soon with an update.
Nevermind, just google'ed it. Had to sign out and recover my gamertag, then do the achievements all over again... That was gay, but at least I got 'em for real this time.
Stupid Crapcom not releasing an update ahead of time.

Rebecca's melees suck though for the most part, except the flame spray, but I suppose the crapload of ammo she gets for both guns at the beginning makes up for that.
As for Josh, eh... His suplex move takes too long to do and any good combo I have goin' usually ends up dying when I'm in the middle of doing it, but at least he's not as bad in that manner as Excella. And he has the coolest move ever when helping a teammate that's being grabbed.
