You didn't see that? From the moment you step off of the sub, everything you see pretty much screams and tries to kill you.

lol, i meant to say runs at you mindlessly and tries to kill you. Though you have assured me that it gets better. I'm simply waiting to get my graphics card fixed on my laptop before continuing. I'm thinking the lag was making it annoying too. First person shooters that keep jumping around are a pain. I'm hoping the fix helps me enjoy it better.

NVIDIA's driver doesn't work for my card, something to do with the fact that my system is 64 bit,and the drivers NVIDIA uses doesn't work with 64 bit, despite the fact that the card CAME pre-installed.... I'm taking it to best buy when I get the chance, and I'm going to call it a hardware issue.

Played the demo on PS3 back in Feb, bought it on ebay right after.

Got into it for a while, then shelved it. Just this past week started playing again and beat it.

Awesome stuff.

Good call on finishing the game. Still one of the best campaigns and the best atmosphere in a game this gen.

I actually bought two while I was playing one and it got here a few days ago, that's how good I think 1 was.

Is 2 shit tier? I was planning on starting it tomorrow. Or should I do a second run through of bioshock one as a bad guy .

^ What he said.

Bioshock 2 is not a shit game by any means, but it just doesn't capture the magic of the first game. The last third of the game is the best part, in my opinion.

The second one loses the first game's originality and sense of wonder and gives you much better gameplay.

I found Bioshock 2 kind of boring.

It's not bad and if you can get on Steam for cheap then go for it but I got a big case of deju vu when playing it. It's almost identical to the first aside from the defending of Little Sister's.

That's the problem of the game. It's the exact same setting, and the story is almost identical.

It certaintly wasn't as good. First, it was set in the same place. Half the fun of the first game was we were investigating a new world, Rapture... In the second we are just returning.

Then the stroy was obviously not as good. The concept of Jack was awesome. Being some sorta weird expirment who is the son of Andrew Ryan and being used as a pawn by his father's greatest enemy. And who can forget the Andrew Ryan confrontaation. One of the best moments in gaming hands down.

And finally it lost some of it's atmosphere. In the first game you were an "intruder" and at the bottom of the food chain. I found this to be a far funner and interesting feel than playing as the Big Daddy.

I started 2 today, I'm about to leave Ryan Amusements with incinerate.

I actually like this more than 1.

Pretty much sums it up. The only thing different is the defending of sisters and you go outside in the ocean.....but it's basically following a corridor.

There was no originality at all.

There's probably a Bioshock 2 thread somewhere but I've been posting in this one so I'll keep it here.

My plasmid arm disappeared. I'm using a PS3. Apparently it's a common glitch, but going to the gene bank to switch plasmids around hasn't worked.

Did any of you guys have any problems with this?
