yeah, if there is a group of the mushrooms or a little cluster of small planetoids, you can long jump and go completely around ones, then swtich gravity over to another and go all the way around that too.

thanks LifeInSepia, sig is AWESOME
Oh yeah because giving a hidden character different moves would have increased sells by the millions.
Really? Because 64 outsold SSB 2 to 1. What's the excuse there?
Let's see besides the usage of gravity to change gameplay and the motion controls Galaxy is vastly different then Sunshine. Brawl on the other hand will be Melee with just a new item and a new character here and there. Heck they even have some of the same levels.
Yeah okay. We'll see.
No...comparing it to other Mario games like SMB3, 64, and Galaxy; Sunshine is a horrible game.
Nope. There are other games like Brawl that won't change anything about the game except adding in a new item here and there...the Halo series comes to mind with that.
Congrats. But here's the difference: while Brawl is just fighting Galaxy actually takes usage of the Wii. Brawl is just a beefed up version of Melee. Nothing else. Mario takes gameplay to a new level; Brawl doesn't do anything new. Mario uses the Wii controls without abusing them and makes them work perfectly with the game. Not to mention that Galaxy has 42 different Galaxies never before seen...while Brawl needs to use already created stages. Heck all the stages on Brawl are basically just dumbed down knock offs of stages from Mario, Zelda, Metroid, etc. games.
SMG kills Brawl. Heck SMG went up against BioShock, Halo 3, Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, and many other titles (2007...best year for gaming) and it won more awards then any other games. Brawl will fail compared to SMG. It will be surprising if it manages to outsell TP or Melee for that matter.

You say that like it's a bad thing.
Just wow.
You're so blinded by Super Mario that you are finding problems where there aren't any just to have something negative to say in defense of Mario.
Think about it......if Mario is as great as you think it is and if it is so much more better than any other game then it really shouldn't need any defending.
As for the usage of gravity that you mentioned, it's not all that new either. Plenty of games have had that before.
That statement is flawed on so many levels...
For one thing, unlike SSB 64 and Melee, Brawl actually has a story to it (the Subspace Emissary). It's not just "another Melee with a new item here and there", or anything like that, especially since you haven't played it yet.
Yeah, like 5 stages from the last game. That's not much. The rest of the stages are new.
Please enlighten me then, on how Sunshine was so horrible.
Sure, it didn't have the same Mario feel as some of the others, but I still had a great time and overall good experience with the game.
So I guess the Subspace Emissary and all this stuff isn't new then?
Cool. I didn't know Melee and SSB had all those features!
Never before seen? Super Mario Galaxy had a lava galaxy, an ice galaxy, a toy galaxy, a ghost castle galaxy, etc. I've seen all those kinds of places before, in previous Mario games and in other series.
When it comes down to it, most of the environments in Galaxy aren't anymore original than most of Brawl's stages.
Right, because we all know Melee, TP, and SMG have online play.
But really. I guess you will be surprised at how well Brawl will sell since you seem to underestimate it so much all of a sudden.
I can't believe you or anyone whose been checking out the daily Brawl updates over the months would actually say that the game has "nothing new", or that it's just "a beefed up Melee".
Brawl has more on offer then Galaxy, you have a challenge mode, 30 stages + apparently 40/50 fighters, great music and best of all a stage editor that's good enough for me; worth the money, still I am not denying or insulting SMG its a brilliant game, it's just if Brawl lives up to it's hype then it will be the better game.
Meh. Although I got Galaxy for Christmas, I didn't really start playing it until shortly after 2008.
But yeah. Out of the games I've been playing a lot this year (which isn't much so far), SMG definitely takes the cake.
