You don't find it odd that such a powerful creature could die from a laser bolt where it had failed before, and an EM Pulse in the brain where EM energy by itself is harmless to the brain and she could eat a star?
Remember the phoenix only dies when she wants or needs to, but will use anything as an excuse. Otherwise you can't kill her.
I mean look at Endsong.
What might have been better is if Cyke was there at the last after Wolverine stabbed her is if Cyclops came in and delvered the I love you line.
But he's either dead (no real confirmation of that) or elsewhere(he'd have to be in a state where he would be unable tointeract with the others such as in a suspended animation like Phoenix 4 was when Phoenix 2 was running around.

i also think it is the best xmen movie so far, x1 wasnt that great, x2 was good, but very boring at times, the previous two lacked mutants, but this one, had a lot, just...not on the xteam
I didn't get a theater wwith alot of applause sadly cause like noone stayed til the end. Sucks to be them cause they didn't see it I guess, until they see it agian... then it wouldn't suck to be them cause they wouldn't have missed it.
Yeah I liked seeing the individual mutants, not just the extra masacre. Though I think it would be pretty cool to say "I was killed by Wolverine in X3!"

if Beast was in since X1, it would be very interesting, i loved him in the movie. i didnt like the xteam being only like 5 peeps, and what happened to nightcrawler?(havent played the game)
hey i think there still might be an other one because at the end of the movie magneto started to move the chess piece so maybe the cure isn't permanent. what do u guys think?
Gender: Male Location: Picking up some power converters.
I liked it, actually. I would have liked to see some actual depth to Juggernaut, though, and a little more to Angel. I mean, did they even say his name in the movie? I was pissed with what happened to Magneto, if that last scene (not the one after the credits) hadn't happened, it probably would have ruined the movie for me. I was so ticked off. Also, the Mystique thing was sad, but I liked it.
A few parts I liked:
Wolverine: "I didn't come her to fight."
Magneto: *Something witty, can't recall right now*
All the scenes where you're thinking, wow, just give up. With normal people (or just non heroes) just completely getting their asses handed to them. Like Magneto with the cars or the X-Men beating the hell out of the crappy mutants.
I have read a lot of the reviews of x3 and have seen a lot of people displeased with the results of the characters in the film. I would like to share my thoughts on the movie.

With the death of Professor Xavier's death if you stayed after the credits you would know that he is perhaps still alive. A lot of people complained about Cyclops death. The truth is we never saw him die. Im not saying that he isnt dead just that there's a chance he is still alive due to the fact we did see it happen. Rogue, Magneto and Mystic's loss of powers - as seen at the end of the film when magneto was playing chess he was able to slightly move the chess piece. This could suggest that all characters that were affected by the cure was only temporary like when coming into contact with leech. I too was disappointed with the phoenix character in the movie. I wanted to see some knid of fiery aura around her. Regarding Jean's death i think that there is the a small chance she could come back as she did in the cartoons.

There were things that I did like about this movie, but there were many things that I did not. I just felt constantly reminded that they had missed the plot somewhere. The Phoenix story arc, in the early 80s, was one of the most successful story arcs in comic book history, and very much a pivitol moment in so many ways: 1) the popularity of the X-men 2) the modernization of the X men comics 3) the recognition that Jean Grey was more than just a damsel in distress (as she was often displayed in the 60s and 70s), but a strong, female chanracter in her own right 4) A progression in the Scott/Jean relationship (Cyclops asked her to marry him as the Phoenix story was unfolding - and yes, she was naked at the time...outside of the Grey family residence following a grand battle between Dark Phoenix and the X-Men). Needless to say, the finale resulted in Dark Phoenix committing suicide in front of Cyclops, and him leaving the X-Men in absolute devastation (similar to the movie). This was quite the dramatic tragedy for a 1980s comic, only for the couple to be reunited some time later (because of popular demand) and for them to be married in 1995 and arguably, because of all the varrying timelines, clones and ressurections, have 4 children together (Rachael, Nathan, Nate, Stryfe).
The storyline in the movie had all these possibilities, and so much more cannon material to work with. But instead we got...well... another Wolverine movie... Don't get me wrong. I like Wolverine. I like Storm (I liked her more in this X Men film). But I was left feeling like the other actors were trying to 'ditch' the franchise and all that we had left, following a battle of egos, was Wolverine and Storm and a bunch of secondary mutants that didn't mind playing second fiddle to the above 2.
X3 did not confirm that Dark Phoenix killed Cyclops. She just got very angry when anyone accused her of killing him (which might mean that she didn't kill him and that she had sex with him instead, like she did in the comics when she took off his visor/glasses, and the poor guy is now walking around Alkali Lake without his visor, which would explain why he didn't make it back in time to enjoy all the special effects...I mean action.
I suspect that something like that would have been James Marsden's line before the script twisting when he went over to Superman. I also suspect that there was a wedding ending (Cyce and Jean) before the script twisting also. I think that was rumoured back in 2003/4. Maybe he could have been the only one to bring her back from the 'dark side' because she was pregnant... (which would have linked everything together with the comics a little bit more).
Yeah Spiolers and to lazy to use tags and don't come in an x3 review thread without wanting to know stuff.
ok it was ok, the music sucked and was better in x2..the story was rushed and like emtional parts like when cyke died they shed one tear and thenw as like lets get popcorn eeeeeek.
Juggernaut was ok lol, and Magneto face expressions were nasty..oh and magneto affects were great. Hmm, Storm is now a killer which was wierd.....
The action was great, Juggs vs wolvie, wolvie in forest killing 90% of everyone in the movie, at the end kitty made a good one and beast unleashed hell when he did do anything.
jean was the best character in the movie even though you see her like every now and then. her powers were the most affects you will ever see in an xmen movie and she was creepy..her skin, vioces, and shit flying around....creepy.....................jean was creepy......yes she was creepy.
It was a good movie, but its a damn shame that i watched every clip i could get my hands on. All the parts with the pheonix scared me. I hated it how she killed all the ppl and CX. Also is it just me, or did mystique get cured way too early [i liked how she looked AFTER she was cured ] OOOOO but im so glad magneto might have his power left.
