Me saying that the Cpt. Atom arc was crap isn't because I think they wrote Atom wrong. It's because they completely butchered a number of WS characters, both with power sets as well as personalities. Majestic's reactions were way off, and the Authority seemed like parodies of themselves....in addition to the continuity errors (I wish I saved the site I read that listed a few dozen faults with it).
So yeah, your boy's sweet batdude (CA, that is). It's just a shame he had his finest hour at the expense of some crappy WS writing.
Can't the "renovating wave" created by Jack Hawksmoor in NYC durind "Street Life" issue be concideted as a feat? Of course, there's no destructive stuff- just getting the whole city (or just the Bronx?) "better makeup"- repairing broken windows, cracked bricks and pavements, repainting walls and so on...
And as for the Eiffel Tower feat- couldn't that be an example of teamwork?%) I mean Jack and Doctor could do that stuff together- with Doctor's power protecting the whole construct from melting in the atmosphere (that explains energy surrounding, cause Jack's powers is enough to lift the tower from ground and throw it, but Doctor helped him to aim correctly with the whole thing).
Also "renovations" made by Hawksmoor to St. Petersburg (Scorched Earth) and LA (Godhead arc) to cause massive flood in these cities are also can be counted as impressive feats.
"Minor feats of Jack" like blowing up gas pipes right behind the enemy (Earth Inferno) can also be counted (if dodging bullets is taken into his active as a feat).
Yes, renovating a city is a feat. Feel free to post it if you can.
And the Doctor did that Eiffel Tower thing on his own. Jack comments on it, but there's no on-panel evidence whatsoever that Jack did anything to help. It's glowing purple (The D's trademark) and hurled into space. Simple as that, and well within Doctor's power range.
Relentless? That confused me when I was looking for them. The first arc was the Circle, second was ShiftShips (where that feat came from). At least thats what the the two different four part issues were called
New stuff, all from the "Captain Atom: Armageddon" arc.
I dislike the story....the Authority are written as immoral villians. Granted, they have a looser sense of morality than most heroes, but the "kill first, ask questions later" mentality was turned into nigh-parody in CA: Armageddon.
Still, here's the stuff, since it's canon. I'll also be adding stuff to the initial posts on page 1 when I get the chance (including stuff from others, unless they object).
...
I've also decided that the new Doctor still rules. I miss Jeroen, but Habib is growing on me a ton.
I feel like I need to say some things here...
Apollo "loses" the first encounter with CA. He was dominating the exchange, but then CA tricked him into going near the sun so that CA could use his matter manip to give Apollo a fatal dose of his own power.
