i know this is only for x4 scripts but i love writing x stories...so here's the continuation of my story.
X-Men 5: Rise of the Apocalypse
Egypt. ANGEL is being led to the pyramid by a native.
NATIVE: The architect of the pyramid is fascinating. Dr. McCoy and Ms. Frost have made much progress over the last few weeks.
ANGEL: We haven’t heard from them in such a long time.
NATIVE: Inside the pyramid all communication to the outside world is blocked.
ANGEL: I see.
NATIVE: Right this way, Mr. Worthington.
ANGEL: Where am I?
NATIVE: Just take a few steps further.
ANGEL continues to walk. The NATIVE lingers back into the darkness transforming back to MYSTIQUE. Everything goes dark.
Hawaii. JEAN and SCOTT are on a vacation. They lie together on the beach. A boy passes by and notices SCOTT’S sun glasses.
BOY: Cool shades. Where’d you get them?
SCOTT: Ebay for three bucks.
BOY: Wow. That’s awesome.
The BOY runs off calling to his friends.
JEAN: You didn’t have to lie to him.
SCOTT: I was fooling with him. It’s not like he’s going to go online and try to find them on eBay.
JEAN: He could.
JEAN looks over at the boy who’s with a group of friends. She notices one of the girls, a red headed girl about fifteen years old (MAGMA). The girl catches eyes with JEAN for a moment. Suddenly, another little boy runs up behind the red headed girl and scares her. She screams. The whole beach starts to shake. MAGMA’S body begins to turn red. She looks over at the island at the volcano.
MAGMA: Please, God.
The volcano erupts. MAGMA faints.
SCOTT: Jean! Come on! We have to get off the island!
JEAN ignores SCOTT and runs to MAGMA. SCOTT chases after her.
JEAN: We have to get her back to the mansion.
The mansion. Billiard Room. ROGUE and COLOSSUS are arm wrestling. GAMBIT is playing poker with three of the youngest students. They’re using jelly beans to bet with.
GAMBIT: (to one of the students) What you got?
A student puts down a royal flush.
GAMBIT: I have taught you well, petites.
ROGUE: God, Peter!
COLOSSUS pushes ROGUE’S arm. Her arm crashes through the table.
COLOSSUS: Sorry.
ROGUE: I keep on breaking things.
COLOSSUS: It’s going to take awhile to get used to.
ROGUE: Awhile? Great.
ROGUE heads for the front door. As she opens the door JEAN and SCOTT enter with MAGMA. She looks nervous. ROGUE smiles at MAGMA, but she doesn’t smile back.
ROGUE: You’re back early. Did you miss us?
SCOTT: Not really.
ROGUE: Glad to hear it.
ROGUE flies out the door. MAGMA turns around to watch ROGUE. STORM immediately comes down the stairs.
STORM: Jean, Scott, glad to have you back so soon. The Professor told me all about it. This must be Allison?
MAGMA looks at STORM, but doesn’t say a word. JEAN whispers to STORM.
JEAN: She hasn’t said a word since the volcano.
STORM: Oh, well let’s bring her downstairs. The Professor is waiting.
JUBILEE has been spying through the door. She turns around and announces to everyone else.
JUBILEE: New girl.
MAGMA sits in the infirmary room. JEAN, SCOTT, and STORM wait for Xavier. He finally enters.
XAVIER: Sorry to keep you waiting, Allison. I had an important phone call to take.
MAGMA doesn’t respond.
XAVIER: I know you’re scared, child, but you need not be. We’re here to help you.
LOGAN walks in with a cigar in his mouth.
LOGAN: Heard we got a volcano in the house.
JEAN: Logan, this is Allison.
LOGAN: Hi.
No reply.
LOGAN: Okay. I’ll see you all later.
XAVIER: Wait, Logan. I have a small favor to ask of you.
LOGAN: What?
XAVIER: I haven’t been able to get in contact with Beast or Emma lately. They’ve been in Egypt as you know, studying pyramids. I sent Warren a few days ago, but he hasn’t returned yet nor has he returned any of my calls.
LOGAN: So, you want me to go over there and see what the hells going on?
XAVIER: Yes, but I’d like you to take one of the students with you. She’s recently begun sessions in the danger room and has showed much progress.
LOGAN sits in the jet next to JUBILEE.
JUBILEE: This is so cool. I’ve been dying to get to ride in this thing. Should I be wearing ear plugs? Cause won’t like my ears pop if we go too high?
LOGAN closes his eyes and takes a deep breath.
LOGAN: Thanks, Professor. Progress in annoyance.
Back to XAVIER and MAGMA. MAGMA is lying on one of the tables. XAVIER goes to read her mind.
XAVIER: Just try to relax.
XAVIER sees flashbacks of MAGMA’S past. One memory stands out, where MAGMA is exploring a cave and comes across a rare symbol engraved on the wall. There is a pendant in the wall. MAGMA takes the pendant and places in her pocket.
XAVIER returns quite alarmed.
JEAN: Professor, are you alright?
XAVIER: I’ll be fine.
He notices the pendant around MAGMA’S neck.
XAVIER: You can bring her upstairs to meet the others.
JEAN takes MAGMA upstairs to KITTY’S room.
JEAN: You’ll be staying with Kitty for now. Kitty? This is Allison.
KITTY goes to shake MAGMA’S hand, but MAGMA doesn’t reply.
KITTY: Nice to meet you.
JEAN: I’ll leave you two to get to know one another.
KITTY jumps back on to her bed. MAGMA calmly takes a seat at the other bed.
KITTY: So, where are you from?
No reply.
KITTY: Okay. Do…do you want some chocolate?
KITTY holds out a box of chocolates.
KITTY: Bobby gave them to me. His room is down the hall. I can introduce you to him later if you want.
No reply again.
KITTY: So, do you have any special gifts? Do you want to see what I can do?
KITTY phases through the wall and returns again.
KITTY: I call it phasing. Pretty cool, eh? Okay, your turn.
MAGMA: I can’t show you without destroying everything in sight.
KITTY: Okay, well maybe we’ll wait until the danger room then.
Back to the jet with JUBILEE and LOGAN.
JUBILEE: Everyone back at school is going to be so jealous that I got to go with you. Like I thought I should have been boasted up to a full member a long time ago, but you know how it is. They didn’t think my powers were good enough, but once they got me going in the danger room I showed them just how good I can really be.
LOGAN: What exactly can you do?
JUBILEE: Oh my God, you don’t know?
LOGAN: No.
JUBILEE sparkles out a pink firework.
LOGAN: Fireworks? You make fireworks?
JUBILEE: Yes, isn’t it awesome? It’s really awesome. Like it helps me to make things explode and stuff.
LOGAN: Great.
JUBILEE sparkles out some more fireworks.
JUBILEE: Isn’t it so pretty?
LOGAN: Yeah, now cut it out.
Suddenly one of the fireworks sets fire to the controls.
JUBILEE: Oops.
LOGAN: Jubilee!
JUBILEE: I’ll go find some water!
JUBILEE gets out of her seat and runs around. LOGAN tries to put the fire out with his arms, but ends up catching himself on fire. JUBILEE runs back with water bottles, screams when she sees LOGAN, and throws the water over him.
LOGAN: Not me! Don’t worry about me! Get that!
JUBILEE goes to the main controls, but there’s no more water left in the bottles. The jet is going up in flames. LOGAN grabs a parachute and throws it at JUBILEE.
JUBILEE: What’s this?
LOGAN: Come on, this jet is going to blow up any minute.
JUBILEE: We have to jump?
LOGAN claws a hole through the plane. He starts to put on his parachute.
JUBILEE: This is insane! Are you crazy? You must be crazy!
LOGAN: Just a little.
He grabs JUBILEE and throws her out the jet. She screams. He jumps after her.
oh and cain your totally right about the script being too short, but thats just a rough sketch. i would like to go back and put some more in it like more time for colossus and angel, cause i really didnt do them up enough.
Meanwhile back at the mansion. MAGMA is exploring the mansion when she bumps into BOBBY. They have a moment.
BOBBY: I’m sorry. You must be new here.
MAGMA nods her head. KITTY comes up from behind. She puts her arms around BOBBY and kisses him on the check. MAGMA looks a tad jealous.
KITTY: Oh, Bobby. This is Allison.
MAGMA: Actually it’s Magma.
KITTY: Bobby, this is Magma.
BOBBY: Nice to meet you.
He reaches his hand out to shake hers. She takes his hand.
BOBBY: You’re hot. I mean, your hand, it’s hot.
MAGMA can’t help but continue to stare at BOBBY. KITTY gets a little annoyed and takes BOBBY by the hand.
KITTY: Well, we have a danger room session to go to now.
BOBBY: Do you want to come with us?
KITTY: Bobby.
BOBBY: She can watch.
MAGMA: I’d like that. I’d like that very much.
LOGAN and JUBILEE have landed in the middle of a desert. They’ve landed apart from one another. LOGAN throws off his parachute and searches for JUBILEE. He sees her parachute and runs to it.
LOGAN: Jubilee! Jubilee!
JUBILEE: What?
He turns around and sees JUBILEE who is busy dusting off her jacket.
LOGAN: You alright?
JUBILEE: Yeah, I’m fine. But, I won’t be when the Professor finds out what I’ve done.
LOGAN: Yeah, well consider yourself lucky we made it out alive.
JUBILEE: Where are we?
LOGAN: Egypt.
JUBILEE: So we should be close to Beast, right?
LOGAN: Maybe. I don’t exactly have a map with me.
JUBILEE: Can’t we call someone?
LOGAN: We’re in the middle of a desert.
JUBILEE: Great! So what do we do?
LOGAN: We walk.
JUBILEE: Walk?
LOGAN: Yes, we walk.
JUBILEE: Isn’t it more logical to stay put and wait for someone to find us?
LOGAN: You’ll be dead in three days.
JUBILEE: Okay, then we’ll walk.
LOGAN: Good. Glad we agree.
Back the mansion. STORM is in the danger room with ROGUE, GAMBIT, COLOSSUS, and KITTY. XAVIER and MAGMA watch from the control room.
XAVIER: I’m glad you've decided to stay with us.
MAGMA: Just for now until I figure things out. Like what the hell is wrong with me?
XAVIER: Nothing is wrong with you, Allison.
MAGMA: I destroyed an island. People were hurt. Some might have even died!
XAVIER: It wasn't your fault.
MAGMA: Yes, it was! I...I hate myself.
XAVIER: No, my dear, you’re only afraid of yourself.
MAGMA: Yes.
XAVIER: I want you to take a look at the girl down there, the one with the white streak in her hair.
MAGMA: I’ve seen her.
XAVIER: That’s Rogue.
MAGMA: She can fly.
XAVIER: Yes, a wonderful gift, but that’s not her only power.
MAGMA: It’s not?
XAVIER: No, she gained her flying and strength abilities from another mutant. Her real mutant power has always been a struggle for her. When ever she comes in skin to skin contact with anyone she absorbs their life force, their energy. She can kill them within seconds if she’s not careful.
MAGMA: God.
XAVIER: You see, Allison, you’re not the only one.
MAGMA: I just don’t want to hurt anyone.
XAVIER: Neither does she.
JEAN and SCOTT enter.
JEAN: Professor, the jet has been destroyed.
SCOTT: And we’ve lost all contact with Logan and Jubilee.
XAVIER: Destroyed? (to MAGMA) Excuse me, my dear.
XAVIER makes his way to cerebro with JEAN and SCOTT.
XAVIER: This is most distressful. Even with cerebro I still haven’t been able to contact Beast, Emma, or Warren...they're...(starts to say something, but stops) Hopefully, I’ll be able to find Logan and Jubilee.
JEAN and SCOTT stay with him inside cerebro as he searches for them.
XAVIER: There, there they are.
JEAN: Should we go after them?
XAVIER: Yes, but first…I think there’s something you should know.
The X Men have just finished their danger room session and are making their way out. Once they are all gone, MAGMA steps inside the danger room. The doors close behind her.
Back to XAVIER.
SCOTT: I can’t believe you didn’t tell us. Jean has been having nightmares for weeks!
XAVIER: I’m sorry, but I needed to wait for the right time.
SCOTT: The right time? What? When half our team has disappeared on us?
XAVIER: Scott, this is much more complicated than you understand. Now, please—
JEAN: There’s something happening in the danger room.
Two sentinels are coming at MAGMA. She makes a run for it. JEAN, SCOTT, and XAVIER enter the control room. SCOTT runs to press the emergency cancellation button, but XAVIER stops him.
XAVIER: Wait, Scott.
SCOTT: Professor, she’s just a kid!
XAVIER: Wait.
MAGMA hides behind one of the buildings. She closes her eyes. Her body starts to sweat. Suddenly, her body bursts into molten flames. She turns around and heaves bolts of lava at the sentinels. The sentinels fall. Two more come at her, she destroys them in seconds. Six more come at her and surround her. She is afraid now. So afraid that the ground below is beginning to shake. Suddenly, a volcano erupts inside the danger room destroying everything in sight. When the smoke clears, MAGMA stands in the center unharmed. She looks up at XAVIER and then runs for the door.
On her way up the stairs to the dormitories she runs into ROGUE who is walking side by side with GAMBIT.
ROGUE: Hey, sugar.
MAGMA: Don’t touch me!
MAGMA continues to run.
GAMBIT: That sounded familiar.
ROGUE: Yeah, too familiar.
GAMBIT leans in close.
ROGUE: You know what happens when I touch somebody. Do you want to end up in a coma?
GAMBIT: Maybe it's worth it, no?
ROGUE puts her hand over GAMBIT’S mouth and kisses her hand. She turns and walks away.
GAMBIT: Come on, chere, you can do better than that!
MAGMA bursts into her bedroom. KITTY and BOBBY are lying next to one another kissing. She turns and runs back away, this time running into GAMBIT.
GAMBIT: Where you going, petite?
MAGMA runs down the front stairs towards the front door, but SCOTT gets there just in the nick of time and stops her.
MAGMA: Let me go!
SCOTT: Not so fast!
MAGMA: I’ll blow up the whole school, I swear! I swear I will!
XAVIER, JEAN, and STORM come up from behind.
XAVIER: Allison, we’re not going to hurt you. (With his mind) I know what you’ve seen.
MAGMA: You don’t know anything!
XAVIER: The pendant around your neck.
MAGMA: What about it?
XAVIER: It’s a key. A key that will unlock the greatest catastrophe the world has ever imagined.
MAGMA: It’s mine. I found it.
XAVIER: Yes, but it doesn’t belong to you. There are many people out there who are searching for that exact pendant you where around your neck. If they find you, they will kill you. You must give it to me, Allison. For your own safety.
MAGMA looks at SCOTT, then JEAN and STORM, then XAVIER. She is hesitant.
MAGMA: If I give you the pendant will you let me go home?
JEAN: Allison, your home has been destroyed.
MAGMA: By me! I did it! And I can do it again!
MAGMA starts to get hot.
XAVIER: Then, you’ve left me no choice, Allison.
XAVIER goes inside her mind. She cringes to the ground and eventually passes out. SCOTT picks her up and takes her away. Upstairs, ROGUE, GAMBIT, BOBBY, and KITTY have been watching the whole time.
Back to Egypt. JUBILEE is tagging behind, exhausted.
JUBILEE: I’m getting sun burned.
LOGAN ignores her and continues to walk.
JUBILEE: Can’t we take a break?
LOGAN: We’ve only been walking for an hour.
JUBILEE: That’s it?
LOGAN: We’ll rest for five minutes.
They sit down on the ground.
JUBILEE: So do you still have the hots for Ms. Grey?
LOGAN: What? Who told you that?
JUBILEE: Come on, everyone knows.
LOGAN: Good for them.
JUBILEE: Rogue said you used to live in Canada. You know I used to live in LA.
LOGAN: With your parents?
JUBILEE: They died.
LOGAN: So, you lived in LA by yourself? How old are you?
JUBILEE: Fifteen. I did okay, you know, until Professor X found me and brought me to the institute. Things have been much better.
LOGAN: Must have been tough.
JUBILEE: Sometimes.
LOGAN: Well, if you can survive LA, you can survive the desert. Come on.
Back to the mansion. MAGMA is still asleep in the infirmary. JEAN is examining the pendant with a microscope. STORM, JEAN, and XAVIER are gathered around the control screen. XAVIER shows them a 3D portrayal of the pyramid.
SCOTT: So you’re saying some crazed 5000 year old mutant is buried inside the same pyramid that Beast was sent to study. Did Beast know about this? This Apocalypse guy?
XAVIER: Yes, he was well aware, but he wasn’t aware of Sinister’s plans to free him.
STORM: But, we stopped Sinister. We destroyed his machine.
XAVIER: Sinister was planning to awaken him with the energy of the six mutants he had captured, two of them being you, Scott, and Jean, but Apocalypse has already woken himself, how? I don’t know. The only thing that stands in his way to freedom is the pendant.
STORM: You said it was a key?
JEAN: He’s right. It is a key.
JEAN takes the pendant and carries it over to the control screen. JEAN brings up a 3D portrayal of the tomb that Apocalypse has been buried in.
JEAN: The pendant is the only way to open up the tomb.
SCOTT: What if we destroyed the tomb?
XAVIER: It’s indestructible as well as the pendant itself.
SCOTT: What about Beast? And Emma and Warren?
XAVIER: I haven’t been able to contact them. But, it appears as though they are caught up in some strange illusion.
SCOTT: Caused by Apocalypse?
XAVIER: No, by someone else. Someone who also wanted to free Apocalypse.
STORM: Wait a second? How did Allison even find the pendant? You never explained that.
XAVIER: The pendant was buried inside a volcano. Naturally, Allison was the ideal choice for the job. Whoever has our friends, has also been in contact with Allison. Her mind is too fragile for her to remember.
STORM: But the pendant is safe with us.
XAVIER: For now.
STORM: Then we keep it hidden.
SCOTT: What about Logan and Jubilee?
XAVIER: I’ll have you leave immediately. Rescue Logan and Jubilee, and return at once. You’ll have to be very careful. Don’t believe anything you see, no matter how terrifying it may be.
SCOTT: Right. We’ll get the team ready at once.
JEAN: What about Allison?
XAVIER: Bobby and Kitty will stay here and watch over her. She’ll be fine.
Back in the desert. JUBILEE is still staggering behind. She is fatigued and getting beat by the sun. She looks over to her right and “sees” a soda machine. She turns in that direction and begins to walk. In a few seconds LOGAN loses scent of JUBILEE and turns around. He sees JUBILEE wondering with her arms open.
LOGAN: Jubilee!
JUBILEE goes to get a soda from the machine. She doesn’t have any money, so she blasts it open and takes a can of soda out. LOGAN is beginning to get trapped inside the illusion. Instead of a soda, LOGAN sees a cup full of scorpions.
LOGAN: No! Jubilee!
Just before JUBILEE takes a sip of the can LOGAN smacks the cup out of her hands. The scorpions scatter on the ground. LOGAN tries to kill them with his claws.
JUBILEE: What are you doing? You just destroyed my Pepsi!
LOGAN: You stupid kid! Don’t you know what scorpions are?
JUBILEE: Scorpions? Where?
LOGAN: Don’t worry. They’re dead.
JUBILEE turns around and “sees” a large rattlesnake. LOGAN “sees” it too.
JUBILEE: Lo—logan?
LOGAN: Stand back, kid. It can’t hurt me.
JUBILEE steps back, but there’s another snake behind her. She screams and clings to LOGAN’S arm. Suddenly, LOGAN is becoming suspicious of what’s going on. More and more snakes appear.
LOGAN: None of this is real.
JUBILEE: What? Are you crazy?
LOGAN: These things don’t have any smell. The scorpions…the soda…none of it’s real.
JUBILEE: It looks pretty real to me.
LOGAN: I’ve seen this trick before. You just got to fight it. The more you believe the stronger the illusion gets.
JUBILEE: You want me to fight the snake?
LOGAN: No, just pretend it’s not there.
JUBILEE: I hate snakes.
LOGAN: Just stay close to me. We’re just going to walk right out of this.
JUBILEE stays close to LOGAN as they start to walk away. JUBILEE is scared to death. A snake comes at her. She almost screams, but LOGAN covers her mouth. They eventually make their way out of the illusion. Now they are facing the pyramid.
JUBILEE: Is this real?
A VOICE: Yes, it’s real.
They turned around to face a cloaked figure. It’s MASTERMIND.
LOGAN: Who are you?
MASTERMIND: You may call me Mastermind.
MASTERMIND lifts his veil to reveal himself.
LOGAN: We’re looking for some friends.
MASTERMIND: Yes, they told me all about you.
LOGAN: Where are they?
MASTERMIND: Right behind you.
LOGAN and JUBILEE turn around. EMMA, WARREN, and BEAST step outside the pyramid. EMMA is dressed in another white, seductive outfit. BEAST looks more vicious. WARREN is his archangel self.
LOGAN: What the hell have you done to them?
MASTERMIND: Just a little re-educating.
JUBILEE: Logan, I don’t like this.
MASTERMIND: Let’s see how well you two can do against your old friends.
LOGAN: Not her. (Points to JUBILEE)
JUBILEE: Logan, I can fight.
LOGAN: They’ll tear you apart.
MASTERMIND: The little one can watch.
LOGAN: (to JUBILEE) If anything happens to me, get the hell out of here.
JUBILEE: I won’t leave you.
LOGAN: You will.
LOGAN prepares to fight. BEAST, EMMA, and WARREN surround LOGAN. LOGAN uses the reflection off his claws to see the person who’s always behind him. EMMA attacks first. She turns into her diamond form and makes her diamond spear.
LOGAN: What happened to Barbie?
EMMA: She got a make over.
JUBILEE watches fearing for LOGAN’S safety. EMMA twirls her spear around and then hurls it at LOGAN. He ducks, but BEAST comes up from behind and pushes him forward. The battle is just getting started.
i know when i cant sleep at night i type for hours and hours until i fall asleep, ill give it a break for awhile so you can catch up on your writing and i can catch up on my sleep :-)
i'm thinking of putting the fire bird in without brunging back jean!!!! i've re-written the opening speech by storm it goes summit like this
Storm: Loss (shot of prof x lowering his head fades into a clip of cyclops looking out on alkali lake as she narates) is inevitable. whether it be life taken too soon (cylops's scene is in sloww juttery motion as it fades into jean at the end of x men 2 as she gets pounded by the lake) or (as that is said jean spins out of alkali lake in her firebird formation) not soon enough (wolverine is seen killing jean crying from x 3). For some of us (magneto getting stabbed with the cure) we lose who we are. however things that are lost (magneto knoking the chess piece over fades into dark) can also be found (moira's voice is heard saying Charles?!)
then the titles finishing with the cerebro x sign....
what you think?
i'll get the rest of the script up soon....been working on it n i love it lol!
