over-rated: link, spiderman, ryu, master chief (can be), lui kang, mega man, and ff characters (don't get me wrong, i love the ff characters but, other people can really ruin it for me)
under-rated: raziel and kain, samus, kung lao, jen (primal), glitch (metal arms), kirby, luigi, yoshi

Kain is immortal, and even if you destroy his body, he will revive. And Sephiroth has no immunity to the soul reaver. AND YES, HE DOES HAVE A SOUL. Hopefully, Kaled won't bring up that horse.

Overrated: most classic video game characters (i.e. Mario, Luigi ect...) This is not to say they are bad, its just that they get way too much attention. The nastalgia of those classic games is great and all but there are most definitly more bad ass characters than them.
Underrated: I would say Megaman X, Zero and Sigma. Maybe Kratos (from Tales of Symphonia)

oi, i don't understand why people want to contradict my opinions. if you really must know, i think spidey is over rated due to the fact that every year i hear people making a big deal about his games. with reason, he's spiderman, and i like spiderman. however more often than not i hear how great his games are and when i play them, i get bored to tears. i'm just not impressed. i enjoyed seperation anxiety and maximum carnage much more than any of these new spiderman games.
futhermore it's just my opinion. why ask or contradict? if you disagree at least explain to me why you think so, as oppose to saying "nu uh, you crazy"
as far as sephiroth vs kain? well, sephiroth might have more power than kain but, kain wouldn't be nearly so easy to dispatch. you say he could just toss him in space. kain can teleport. i don't see how that's a problem. i think sephiroth could defeat kain but not easily. not unless he discovered his weakness to water (which i think is bs. one of the most powerful vampires ever to walk the earth and a sprinkler could pwn him? please).
so sephiroth wins battle after battle but, kain wins the war. you can't hate his immortality all you want but it's something sephiroth can never do anything about. blame it on the "wheel of fate"

seph would take kain, but not with ease..kain isnt underated here, but he is in other places..
some people (not here) think that just cause LOK doesnt have fancy cutscenes with kain showing off his uberness, he sucks. he has taken numerous tough enemies, most of them in his youth..he's had his (sort of) heart taken out..btw gotta love that "i was always considered 'heartless'" line..just badass
You know that guy from MGS2? Raiden or whatever his name was?
He wasn't that bad, and anybody who through a hissy fit about him revealed themselved to have serious problems in the "proportions" department.
(His wife, on the other hand ... Rose, was it? She was just a bad idea, no two ways about it)

Not talking about me are you? I respect everyone's right to opinion. I'm always gonna contradict those I disagree with. That's what forums are for. It's all in good fun as long as we keep it respectful. Spidey's games so far have always been high quality IMO. I enjoyed those Genesis games as well. It was very easy to beat Carnage w/Venom. I can tell you how if you still play those. As far as non team games, there haven't been any as fun as the Spidey titles.
