I read it. I even participated. It wasn't insulting. It was just facts. Though someone might have taken offense, that is of no matter as people can take offense at anything.
No, you posted definitions. Incorrect ones. We are talking about having respect for someone or showing respect.
Here are actual definitions from Merriam-Webster's:
1 : a relation or reference to a particular thing or situation <remarks having respect to an earlier plan>
2 : an act of giving particular attention : CONSIDERATION
3 a : high or special regard : ESTEEM b : the quality or state of being esteemed c plural : expressions of respect or deference <paid our respects>
4 : PARTICULAR, DETAIL <a good plan in some respects>
Right about what? If anything I was right, even though I misunderstood. My interpretation wasn't founded on a reasonable grounds. I wasn't arguing that he didn't give respect, simply that I interpreted it to read that way. You can prove me wrong with an interpretation, just the understanding. You, I believe, tried to argue how I interpreted (or came to the conclusion of) my opinion.
Than you are partly wrong. Yes your right that I misunderstood him, wrong that I didn't leave out the parts that explained. It was only later that he explained what I misunderstood. But now we're arguing with details.
I misunderstood what you posted Bardock, my apologies. Yes you were correct in that I misunderstood. I pray that this does not affect any (if any) of our future debates.
I said I'm not waiting on them to earn my respect, I didn't say they couldn't earn it as people, I didn't say I'd never respect them in any way. I said I'm not sitting here hoping they earn it, waiting for them to earn it, and that they being a moderator on an internet forum isn't a job worthy of respect anyway.
I didn't say; "If someone does the job well, I won't respect their ability to remain impartial and stick to the rules whilst moderating with intelligence and initiative." did I? I said by default I don't think the job title is one that deserves respect. It's not like you go out to third world countries and aid people, you're a forum moderator. You completely misinterpreted what I said and ran with it.
Now you're arguing with people over what I meant, when we clearly already know. So everything is a bit pointless.

Sure, so when you say that one should have respect for mods, you mean respect as in common courtesy for everyone? ****ing weird, no offense. But then of course, you should be respectful to everyone, doesn't mean you should respect everyone.
It won't affect our future debates.
Though, I still don't agree that I was partly wrong. Since the second part of my initial post was just referring to the parts of AC's post that you did not underline, which included AC's actual meaning.
Bardock wether he himself respects them or not is his issue, but he should behave in a respectful grown up manner towards them and he does not do this.
We have no interest in this argument out here on the forums, keep it private. Most people probably have no wish to see this here.
