I know this is random and no one knows me, but my goal is to spread the word.......there will be a Dragonlance movie in 2007! (don't bother flaming me, because will most likely never see it)
These books really appeal to me, but I have never read them. I saw the movie of The Thief Lord recently, and really enjoyed it,
Do you recommend the books then?
Im restarting Inkspell and I've Read The Thief Lord and Dragon Rider now.
My Theif Lord Review
The fantastic fantasy writer, Cornelia Funke, writes another mind-gripping hit. The Thief Lord holds your attention and never slows down.
Welcome to the magical underworld of Venice, Italy, where hidden canals and crumbling rooftops shelter runaways and children with incredible secrets...
Prosper and Bo are orphans on the run from their cruel aunt and uncle. The brothers decide to hide out in Venice, where they meet a mysterious thirteen-year-old boy who calls himself "The Thief Lord." Brilliant and charismatic , The Thief Lord leads of ring of street children who dabble in petty crimes. Prosper and Bo delight in being apart in this colorful new family. But the Thief Lord has secrets of his own. And soon the boys are thrust into circumstances that will lead them, and readers, to a fantastic, spellbinding conclusion.
Funke's writing style is easy to follow which is one factor in making the book so pleasing. Like the alleyways of Venice, this book has so many twists and turns that you never want to put of the book down. Enchanting as the book may be it's characters are too mature for their age, but that never brings down the storie's quality. Another pleasing element to this book as the book never falters for that the pace always quickens.
A story that children will enjoy again and again, The Thief Lord will keep you glued to your seat with it's thrills and it's never-ending story.
