He started out that way. He was "everything there ever was outside of the multiverse".

So, I'm curious...why was Beyonder retconned? And why does no one like him?

He was retconned because he was too powerful.
The Marvel Universe was a drop of Water,
Beyonder's Universe was an Ocean in comparison. (that's how they described it)
I don't know about the hating.

I've never read an issue with Beyonder before but apparently, a lot of people say Secret Wars II was absolutely horrible.
I really don't trust the majority in most instances and I'm panning to try and find al the issues I can with the Beyonder. I should start with the Secret Wars series, right?

I don't think they were horrible, but to each his own.
Secret Wars I
Secret Wars II and tie-ins.

I was wondering, would you ever be interested in making a webpage or site for the Beyonder? Just a nifty little fansite using a free host or whatever?
It be pretty awesome.

IMHO TOAA > Classic Beyonder, since TOAA = Marvel God and the Beyonder part of the Marvel "reality" (Company). No Beyonder outside the Marvel Comics means for me = part of it.
The One-Above-All didn't exist back then.
Beyonder was supreme, he was eberything outside the Multiverse, and it didn't take long before he was everything inside it as well.

I thought I'd throw these in here, I haven't seen them posted yet.
Beyonder casually destroys an entire Galaxy to simply make room for his new Battle Planet:
Beyonder creates this Battle Planet from the last remaining pieces of the lost Galaxy:
Doom is awed by this showing of power......
"Awe-inspiring, humbling feats dwarfing the wildest imagination of the Gods!"
"The power necessary is incalculable .................... inconceivable !":

I'll go ahead and throw this scan in here for ya Mr M.....
Molecule Man blasted Beyonder with a shot which could have,
"Slagged several Billion ENTIRE Dimensions (Universes)"
All this blast did to Beyonder, was make him cough a little bit:

Here, Mephisto states that Beyonder (pre-retcon) embodied all of the substance of another multiverse.

Beyonder limited his powers because he wanted to fit in.
He could have done it all instantly, so omnipotent he is--

Don"T get me wrong guys .... cuz Beyonder is my second-favourite character (right after the purple Titan) ..... but .... ,
The Beyonder is overhyped !!!!
Look here and find out what the Beyonder really is :
(He"s just the major part of an IN-COMPLETE COSMIC CUBE ....Owen Reece aka Molecule-man received the missing-part of that same cube).
Kubic and the shaper of worlds are complete cosmic-cubes and therefore have no desires ...
The desires manifested in the Beyonder becuz of his incompleteness ...
At the end of "Secret Wars 3" (Fantastic Four v1 319) the beyonder finally merged with Owen Reece and became whole , .... a complete cosmic-cube.
Furthermore it"s also stated in Fantastic Four Annual 26 that ALL previous battles(with the Celestials etc..) of the Beyonder were in fact "illusions created in his mind" by Higher Powers to test the Beyonders true intentions ...
here , read for youreself:
edit: er...skip that ...i can"t post links cuz i"m a newby
btw. Kosmos(female) is the new incarnation of the Beyonder and is later easily defeated by Thanos...er...but that"S another story....
