My short story
The murky air concealed much of their vision as they attempted to run down the creature. As the first man threw his spear, it hit the creature in iets hind leg. The creature collapsed as its leg gave in. After awaking a few minutes later, the beast was infuriated. The poison on the head of the spear was not having as much as an effect as the men thought it would have. Fortunately during the time when the beast was unconscious, the men managed to get ropes tied onto the limbs of the creature. For the beast within the creature had just awoken.
As the beast heaved and pulled, the earth trembled under its mighty power. As it roared, the deep bellow from within the beast shattered the silence. The power of the animal and the force behind its roar shook the unfortunate mn that had to witness the dilemma. As it pulled against the ropes, it groaned as the men ran the spears through its flesh. The agony of the creature could be felt with every roar that pulsated through the land. As the men pulled against the creature, their strength accumulated from each roar, for the fear of death was the only thing that gave them the strength. Nevertheless, the beast had accumulated its power in a way that was opposite to the men. With each roar, the beast itself gained power and continued to do so. As time went by, the men’s strength slowly faded, but the beast grew stronger with every minute.
As one of the spearmen ventured near the beast, in an attempt to spear it in its neck, the creature heaved foreword, lifting its paw. As the creature lifted itself onto its hind legs, it brought its arm down with a force of a hundred men. As the paw connected with the mans neck, there was a deadly crack as his spine shattered. At this moment in the saga, time seized to exist. The men dropped the ropes as they saw their friend fall to the ground. The creature turned to one of the other spearmen. The rage in its eyes was so powerful, it entranced the men, like a flame dancing in its eyes.
As it heaved over towards the next victim, it once again lifted its paw and hit the man across the legs. He spun around like a rag doll as the beast threw his body around. After severing his spine, the creature found its next victim. As the beast leaped onto the next man, he gave a few last cries before accepting his inevitable death. But the wrath of the beast had just begun.
