I say if it happened a year before now it can be discussed in the history forum...just don't post a topic talking about Star Wars. Maybe a thread full of major news items and pop culture from that year or something.

actually it did.It totally changed the way action packed movies that went for special effects were made for the future and set the standard for the way films are made today.

Just because it was the 1st to do it, it doesn't meant that it wasn't going to happen anyway. Star Wars isn't big history. It didn't change the world; not the world I live on though. Maybe a world of a creepy fanboy but not mine.

And to be honest I prefer films without blue/green screening and all that flashy hollywood shit.
