Magneto takes on the X-Men Survives an Explosion....realizes the Seer is trying to map his psychic essence...so he quickly makes haste...by erecting a magnetic shield...that traps the X-Men and Stops a blast from Cyclops....
Magneto is an old man. He should NEVER be portrayed as some hulking monster.
Friggin Mr. Universe would blush if he saw someone with muscles like that! That's better defined than the BEST body builders in the WORLD. Magneto shouldn't look like that.
Magneto does not have better control over lightning than Storm. When Ororo tried to fight him over it, she was already weakened from the initial blast. When injured, her control lessens as we saw in the Proteus story arc.

Storm finds herself unable to manipulate Magnetos' storm...she also says that his storm is beyond her Weather Manipulating Powers.
ive always womdered that about him. if look at his physique even b4 he was devolved into a child and especially after.....ESPECIALLLLY!! during magneto rex the guy was literally in body builder shape

Magneto can't control them, but yet, he was able to use iron in the air to defeat all of them.
Things that should be noted...Mags dodges Thors Hammer...and stops it stone cold in it's tracks. He manages to escape Thors grip. He manages to attack Thor from a distance without visually seeing him. And he also uses a thick invisible coating of magnetic force to cloak himself from the X-Men.
It's a peaceful day...the weather is beautiful according to Nightcrawler.(Don't worry this will become relevant as we move along)
From a distance:
- Magneto tears a ship apart.
- Raps Storm up in a piece of metal and prevents her from using her lightning by locking up the bio-electric current in her body.
- Inhibits Nightcrawler from teleporting
- Now here's the relevance...possibly manipulates the size of that wave magnetically.
-Sets up a forcefield around Moira's lab...of solidified air, knocking Colossus backwards and preventing the X-Men from proceeding any further.
-Rips a junk of the ground out using a forcefield bubble and hurls it towards a wall.
-Causes an Iron Door to glow red hot...and then white hot...eventually causing it to explode.
- Controls Colossus and Wolverine Magnetically
- He stops Storm from attacking him with her hurricane and hurls her lighting bolts back at her.
- With a gesture hurls Colossus out of the lab.
- Distrupts Nightcrawlers teleporting once again.
- Reveals that he's able to fly.
- Fuses ferrous particles around Banshee.
- Blocks Cyclops Optic blasts with his shields...Scotts unable to break the shields.
- X-Men retreat.
Here Magneto puts up his shield for the first time:
- Not only does it block the wreckage but the fire and flames as well.
- He kills a bunch of people by frying them.
- Saves a Mother and Child from a burning building using the same technique.
Here Magneto is simultaneously talking to the X-Men, holding up a shield around the X-Men and controlling a wagon which is moving at tremendous speeds miles above the sky. Not only that...but he throws an unconscious Mesmero out of the Wagon...and uses his power to control his decent so that Mesmero survives the huge(Miles high) drop. So he's also similtaneously controlling Mesmeros' decent.
According to Scott the air is too thin for Banshee and Storm to carry the X-Men to safety. Magnetos powers aren't governed by the thickness of the air.
- Magneto uses a Magnetic Force Bolt to knock out Beast and Mesmero.
- In half an hour Mags covers 4000 miles. West Texas to the Andes Mountains.
- The speed at which the Wagon is moving makes the military fighter plane look as if it's standing still.
- It's flying now at an altitude of 70000 feet.( Air too thin for Storm and Banshees powers to work)
- The wagon reaches Antarctica. So the Wagon travelled from West Texas to Antarctica in no time at all.
- Mags maneuvers the Wagon through Magma..protecting it with his Magnetic Forcefield.(Which has been around the Wagon this whole time preventing it from falling apart.)
- According to the narrative...the Base Magneto built would make Tony Stark and Reed Richards proud.
Here:
- Mags takes a hit from Cyclops blasts.
- Manages to erect shield after the blast and block a punch from Colossus.
- Then Casually zaps Beast with Electricity and flings him into a wall.
- Takes an attack from Storms blizzard which further enhances his magnetic powers.(The Cold makes him a super conductor)
- Similtaneously controls the rate at which Colossus(Falls) and Nightcrawler(Rises) knocking them both out.
- Magneto can control SOUND he warps Banshees sonic scream back at him.
- His shields take hits from Cyclops and Phoenix.
- He even withstands her physical and psychic assault.
- His shields hold against her attacks.
- He's drawing the life energy from her like a sponge.
- He can tap into the Earths Magnetic field to increase his power.
- Beats the X-Men for the second time and places them in these highly developed chairs linked to their nervous systems that supresses their powers and reduces their strength and muscle contraction to infancy.
