No it doesn't.
Drag from the air doesn't have anything to do with speed? Alright then.

Im talking about FRICTION.
No matter how much drag is involved, you must be going a high speed to create that kind of friction.
Terminal velocity of a normal human is not condusive to that scan.

I was talking about terminal velocity. It varies.
By the way, drag IS friction.

Yea, but we're talking about TV in the context of a 127lbs human, so it does not "vary".
Drag is air resistance which in turn causes friction, but not to the degree that Storm was enveloped in, you would need added speed for that.......ALOT of speed.

actually, weight doesn't have anything to do with terminal velocity. objects of all sizes, masses and weights still fall with an acceleration of approximately 9.8 meters per second. the determining factor, then becomes wind resistance. and when there's less in the higher atmospheres, she's going to reach a higher terminal velocity before coming into the denser, breathable atmosphere. she could've propelled herself down while higher, reaching a higher speed faster, before hitting terminal velocity and causing such a rapid hike in wind resistance that she seemed to combust.
also, if she's controlling the winds, she could easily be doing something to manipulate their resistance on her body, letting her fall at greater speeds. but there aren't winds anywhere in the universe that can move at the speed needed to create that "comet" effect, and even given her powers, she wouldn't be actively propelling herself while seemingly aflame. it's still a good feat, but it relies on a subtle use of power and terminal velocity, not just power.

Fair enough
