F*ckin idiot Suns lose to the god damn Sixers, how the hell do you let that happen? Sixers better start losing.
Either that or Durant and Oden stay in college. The only reason i want them to come to the NBA now is because the Sixers have a chance to get them. If the Sixers were nowhere in the mix, I would want them to stay in NCAA ball, because NCAA is 10000 times more entertaining.
Lakers Suns game today baby!! I have been waiting for this ALL season long, ever since we beat them on opening night, minus Kobe and Kwame...
I do believe Odom is missing MORE time so he wont be playing in this game, I am not sure about Marion either but we beat them without Kobe, I think we can beat them without Odom. Especially since we got Kwame back, ohhhhh yeahhhhhh.
Who is ready for that "Suns beat down"?
I know I am!!!!!!
Here are some highlights from last years playoffs series, can anyone say rival?
I love your optimism bro and while i dont want to piss on your parade this is a much different Suns team to the one we faced in the season opener. Our defense against the Kings did not fill me with much confidence going into this game either, we couldnt stop anyone.
Odom is gonna be out for a long time (torn shoulder ligaments) so that really cripples our defensive rotations and we lose a player that matches up really well with players like Dirk and Marion. I cant believe the luck we've had with injuries this year (i know alot of teams have had injuries), Lamar, Kwame, Mihm, Walton and Vlad have all missed major time this season. Its all about staying healthy in this league and we havent really had a chance to have our starting 5 out there for any extended period to develop some chemistry. The fact that our record is pretty good is a testament to Phil and Kobe, i know that there is no chance that Kobe can get MVP now but he has done an amazing job leading these guys this year.
I'd love nothing more than for us to beat the Suns in their house but its gonna be an uphill battle for sure. Sorry for the negative tone of this post because im usually an optimist but these injuries have taken their toll on my hope this season, im just hoping we can finish the season strong and get some playoff experience for our young guys.

We are keeping it close (even though Kobe is cold) which is encouraging. The thing that worries me is that all it takes is a couple of turnovers for the Suns to go on one of their runs, that could break the game wide open. I love the heart our guys are showing so far though, Kobe needs to stop shooting (for now) and work it into the big guys and expose the Suns lack of inside presence.

Wow that was a good game although I didn't like the outcome[insert smiley here]
Did you guys see how we ran the offense down the stretch? Completely through Kobe, no not just scoring Kobe, but also passing Kobe. Got him the ball out on the wing and wait for the double team, if it didn't come he scored, if it did he passed it up and we kept passing and found the open shooter and they knocked it down. I loved how Kwame played today, he isn't 100% yet but he showed signs of aggressiveness which is what he has been lacking. Bynum, he tweaked his ankle early, but he was playing pretty good before that and I think if he didn't get injured we could have won that game because Amare pretty much had no chance in defending him.
And remember, we had no Lamar, so as soon as we get him back(hopefully soon) we can play even more competitive against the Suns. I sure hope we play them in the first round, or at least get to play them in the playoffs.

Great effort by the Lakers, they never gave up and gave the Suns quite a scare down the stretch. After our piss poor effort against the Kings i had a bad feeling about this game, but the Lakers this year have been consistently inconsistent so you never know.
Kobe forced things a bit in the 3rd but as i said a few pages back in this thread if those jumpers go down they are on the Sportscenter highlights tonight. They are definitely makable shots for him but i felt we were winning the battle down low and would have liked to see us milk that a bit more.
All in all a very entertaining game for the neutral fan, obviously i would have loved to see us take the game but im proud of the way our guys played (short-handed and all) and i think we gave the Suns something to think about should we match up in the playoffs.

Phil is talkin to Pippen(I'm sure he'll do alot of good ), Yao is returning tonight, and Wade is going to try and return for the playoffs, this is where the season should really get interesting.
If Pippen does come aboard he will help more than most people think, sure he is much older but there isnt a player that knows the triangle offense better. That in itself would be a huge benefit to the guys still struggling with it, defensively as i've said before he cant be any worse than Walton or Vlad and at least he has the great defensive fundamentals even if the athletic ability is diminished somewhat. Im not expecting Pippen to catapult us into contention but if he can help some of the future core guys grasp the offense then im all for it.

I wouldn't want Pippen on my team, and I love the Lakers so, I don't want him to come. It's a waste of money for 1-2 year old guy. No doubt he was good...great...whatever but still.
