She spun to face Xeth. "Dammit, we're not letting him go !" she motioned her companions toward the closest aircar. "Xeth, mah, come on !" Kellan then turned back to Grevor. "I have to go after him. Are you and Marcus coming ?"

You shoout out of the garage.
Outside is chaos- there has been a huge battle out here. Several wrecked police speeders lay around, though the two remaining Miramar vehicles are destroyed as well. There are dead bodies all around. Gundark, you are not only filled with grief at the loss, but you cannot imagine what the Council will make of this- remembering they thought any attempt to chase Kulyen would only bring destruction, rather than prevent it.
Right now, the police are firing at a fleeing ship. The Dark Siders are escaping. It is already in the upper atmosphere.
Ascar's car is a speck in the distance, but your Jedi senses allow you to keep track of it. He is cutting across traffic lanes and heading towards the industrial area.

The Force ebbed around her like waves on the sea; mah's dutiful concentration at the controls, Xeth's usual anticipation of action and Marcus's steady patience, yet all were tempered by some battle fatigue. Kellan glanced sideways at Grevor. "We can catch Ascar, I can feel it. Its only a matter of time."

"Mal Sannan..." says Grevor. "That's a name I have not heard for a long time... you may remember him, Kellan. He was in my year at the temple, a few years above you. He dropped out when he was 13."
Of course! You DO remember! It was a bit of a thing at the time. Mal was a very talented pupil- they said his midi-chlirian count was almost as high as Master Yoda's! But he was dreadful in the temple. Not flawed morally, but moody, inattentive, ill-disciplined. He never reacted well to authority. He abandoned his Jedi studies at 13 and left the Temple, forever barred from learning the Jedi ways due to the danger of such unsupervised knowledge.
"But that was all 50 years ago," says Grevor. "If Mal is still alive he would be in his 60s by now."
