The Glass Books and the Dream Eaters

by: G W Dahlquist

This looks an interesting read, and is released in instalments, just like the victorian heyday of the serial. Its described as an 'utterly compulsive gothic adventure'. I think it is released weekly and will be a great one for discussions as everyone will be at the same stage waiting for the next installment.
I got the information from a reading style blog and the full first chapter has actually been put up in full- good for a taster. Have a look at the blog below and there is a post with the link to download.

I've been reading this!, its really good.. Basically the first chapter is about a woman called Ms Temple whose been abandoned by her lover and she is trying to find out why.

Whats good about it is that its a classic sort of hero format with quite fantastical parameters.. it has all that Victorian intrigue with high brow rogues and the like but the characters are very unassuming.

I loved the coach scene at the end as well!

Cool

Yeah i've been reading this as well, i thought the first chapter was good although i reckon that the coach scene was a bit unrealistic.

I did like the fact that it was like literary porn however - he he he

I started another thread on this but yeah, it is a good read. I found the first chapter leaked online. Enjoying it so far, although you're right Castle, it is saucier than I expected! It'd be good to do a weekly discussion thing though, so we can all catch up on stuff and speculate on what might happen.
