LOL, its been good, I miss debating against you all, its been a while but I think you all need to create some fights on the american vs anime forum so that I can stomp you all like I did in the past.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: ANIME Fighters VS AMERICAN Superheros
That's an elbow from *Doomsday*. He was out before the mountain, that was just to add insult to injury, and there's not a lot to tell how much impact was involved (I'm guessing also he had a bit of a beating before this).
Superman has smashed through mountains etc. etc. plenty of times before.
Thing is, people use different basis for their arguments. Mike here for instance shares the fixation of cherry picking feats and ignore the rest.
Whereas I imagine that most of you have a wider spectrum were you take the mean value derived from your observations and use that as the basis for your argument.
As for manga and western comics in general, manga relies heavily on the power of one. We all saw how Gohan one-shotted Cell Jr. who were at the level of Vegeta and Trunks, who in turn trained for another year in the Room of Time and Spirit before the Cell Games.
To be utterly fair, you did a similar thing here. It was from the low end, but similar nonetheless.
Endless Mike generally makes good calls from what I've seen.
That is the problem. You probably know what you're doing. You take information, put a poorly constructed spin on it, and present the same information under a flimsy mask of impartiality. The ruse is so transparent that people, like Ms.Marvel, theorize "There is no way he thinks he'll fool anyone with that, so.... he....he must... HOLY CRAP HE MUST ACTUALLY BELIVE IT! If he actually believes that then...
She even used the incredulous face thingy to show the end result of the mental process I highlighted. Spot on Ms.Marvel. Spot on.
I harbor no ill will towards you of course, regardless of how abrasive my post may feel. I simply offer an observation on the negative sentiment following you around in the various forums.
I do have a question for you though, carver9. It's no secret that you consider Thor above the other high heralds(Supes/Surfer/Hal/etc). How do you think he fares against Goku?

Ignore Astner, he's just butthurt since he got laughed out of NF. If I really 'cherry picked' feats I would mention stuff like Superman vs. Dominus and Hulk thunderclapping away a dimension all the time but I consider those to be outliers generally.
Wrong, I said that the outcome depended on the Green Lantern used. I further referred to the fodder that was taken out by Batman. That's his entire comic career, being taken out by Batman.
What you're suggesting would be something along the lines of taking a vintage showing of Kyle Rayner being knocked out by Batman and base my argument around that.
You've mentioned a couple of times how important your reputation in the OBD is to you, even here in the KMC. I'm proud to inform you that I don't share that trait, especially when it comes to the OBD.
Unlike Zetta--I was temporarily suspended and not permanently banned--so I could return at any time. But the fact that most of you are dimwitted wannabe intellectuals with tendencies to substitute arguments with insults when cornered essentially makes it pointless.
No you do cherry pick feats, mixing alternate versions of Superman varying from the CoIE era to 52 that doesn't directly violate your power scaling system.
The OBD rules actually prevent that, shows what you know.
Right, because I reference Pre-Crisis feats casually for Post-Crisis Superman
When have I ever done that? If you're trying to say that Infinite Crisis or 52 retconned the entire DC History like COIE is, that's bullshit and I have several scans that disprove that.
ill take all anime. its just that you have to look at it how they a in the movie or show and pin them agianst each other. and some anime characters are out there such as goku and vegta. way to powerful
True enough, it shows that my perception isn't as restricted as yours. There is nothing hindering people from debating outside of the OBD, either on a completely different site or simply in another forum.
This entire page. The thread has nothing to do with Pre-crisis Superman, there are no requests or such. Yet you make an elaborate explanation of his powers and capabilities. You might as well have addressed Wolverine in that thread because he'd have equal relevance.
I never did, not even as an indication. The fact remains that Earth-1 Superman isn't the mainstream version. So instead of putting words in my mouth address what I actually say. Or better yet go back to the OBD where you're welcome.
