Emma was in her head. Storm's attack was one of desparation to prevent herself from getting messed up.

Problem is, that you showed someone trying to enter her mind, while I just showed a mindblast.
Sure, Storm can stop people from entering her mind or whatever, but she hasn't shown the ability to stop a mindblast.

Speaking of which, Emma was also touching her... while she could have just blasted her.

Back to ignore...

She mindblasted her previous to that behavior modification attack(essentially a mind rape), it didn't work.

Shadow king tried on a child storm, it didn't work.no expression

Her reactions are based on a Psionic level.

Where his are based on a Physical level.

Only people like Callisto react as fast as they think, and Storm's beaten her to the "Draw" sseveral times.

Damn you storm fans are ignorant. Yes storms powers work at thought but if she is whipping up a hurricane she manipulates the weather patterns and the hurricane needs time to start forming. Storm has never whipped anything nasty up at the speed of her thoughts, so stop with your bull shit.

not so. Winds have been shown to come at her command. it takes more conscious effort and concentration for her to maintain control over her powers than it does to use them. Fact.

It makes sense because, It has been stated on panel that Storm has lightning in her bain as a biproduct of her powers.

This "Brain Lightning" causes feed back and backlash when a telepath attempts to link and stay connected with Storm. This is unintentional.

However, if she doesn't want you in there it's liable to be a little worse.

Also, just for thought:

Storm doesn't JUST control weather.

What is Lightning?

What composes it?

What types of energy are responsible for our weather?

If you can answer these questions honestly you'll see where we're comming from.

you can break down the forces of weather anyway you want, when it all comes down to it psionic energy is in a field all it's own, that's why Storm can psionically manipulate the forces of nature. Her powers are psionic in nature they are nothing but a specialized form of telekinesis/empathy. You don't think a mutant who can manipulate matter and energy down to their quantum state can't form lightning if they wanted to, it's easier for Storm because she specializes, like Magneto does with Magnetism, but he can control all electromagnetic energy it's just easier for him to manipulate magnetism. When it comes to general psionic manipulation, Jean is top tier, if she can manipulate sub-atomic structures then she can stop lightning from even forming., no matter how hard Storm wants it to form. Storms powers have always been shown to be as strong as the forces she can draw from, Jean powers are without limit, whenever she hits one she somehow gets past it. Jean could put them both in a telekinetic sphere, and limit the atmospheric conditions Storm needs to pull off a decent fight. We're talking about Jean not Prof. X, Jean hardly ever uses tp attacks over tk anyway, most tp/tk combo mutants are the same way.

But "brain lightning" is still a dumb name erm

Where is it stated that she literally has lightning in her brain?

Say what?

Charged particles in the air.

Still plasma.

Tons.

The difference is that you don't need to be able to create plasma to create lightning. The effect is indirect as she creates a weather system and then guides the bolt to its target.

She isn't creating or controling plasma. She is creating conditions in which lightning will be created and will do what she wants it to (which is really a hell of a lot more impressive)
