I don't think Elizabeth would steal Jack's ship. It's too important to him. I think it's more likely she'd be there on the docks waiting for him or something along the lines of that. big grin Then she'd help him get his ship back.

And no, I'm not converted to Sparrabeth. I'm just adding in a new thought for y'all to chew over.

well i love that scene with jack and gibbs itīs really hilarious big grin
....And this thing with Elizabeth now...i donīt think itīs elizabeth...youīre probably on something Surreal...it really may be true...
...and i was watching this vid many times and really interesting scene is with Barbossa and Tia and i suppose that it could be Barbossa who stole it and Tia did help him or what...i donīt know...well probably it is fool, just a thought...

and didnīt barbossa said something like Mrs Turner to Elizabeth????...or am i just deaf??hah... confused

No, you're correct. He calls her Mrs. Turner towards the end of the clip. I very much doubt that Elizabeth steals the Pearl. It wasn't set up in DMC; Barbossa's last line set up his intentions in AWE.

yeah thatīs truth savvysparrow, i didnīt think about it... and i doubt that elizabeth would be like that...She would not do it to him as Surreal said...
I really donīt like "Mrs Turner" thing..it means she surely married Will sad but it looks like before battle...or after it sad ....But probably, after it...Coz Will proposed to her,sadly...So what to say....if she is married to Will, Jack probably lost his little chance to have her...How sad...poor Jack sad ...But i know i know, perhaps our ending-her being with Jack sailing off...BUT as a married woman...it makes you think she canīt do so so many things with Jack, like she would do if she was not married...sad
...if you understand me...

and plus this thing which Surreal said in another thread - T&T said about faithness....
So she must keep this faithness to Will, it means ANY THINGS (like we hoped) with Jack...

so so believe my theories are NOT true...sad

yes she is in a way...but this "faithness" thing... even though she is that widow she must keep faithness coz she wants him to be uncursed ...

only if she simply didnīt know about this "faithness thing"...smile

Well, Terry explained this morning how the story will go when he revealed the back story of the Dutchman. Sorry to disappoint JacksSweet but I think the scene you're seeing is her good bye to the crew, including Jack.

They won't have her sailing off with Jack as a married woman. That's hardly fair to Will and it doesn't exactly promote a positive image for Elizabeth's character. Though, I'd argue that the version they're suggesting doesn't really either, and it's not because she ends up with Will. Ah well, there's still plenty to enjoy.

Editing to add: It's not just that she has to remain faithful to him for ten years. She has to remain faithful and in love with him for ten years. I don't think that they'd write a story in which she waits for him for ten years and then says: 'see ya'.

Lol, like I said, persuade me that it's a satisfying ending for the characters invovled.

For some people it is. From a feminist perspective, and I'm not by any means a feminist, it seems a trifle sexist to me. It may appear differently in the film, and I truly hope that is the case but as it stands from Terry's explanation, that is how it appears.

And that's not to say that Elizabeth winding up with Jack wouldn't look that way either with the whole ten years of her proving herself faithful perspective. It's the ten years thing that gets me, not necessarily the character choice, if you get my meaning.

But whatever! The battle still looks visually astounding and Jack gets to be a hero for once.

yeah yourīre right savvysparrow, sadly...sad (i mean with that saying goodbye by elizabeth to crew thing) but they could do it like she ends up with jack....so many chances, to have them together to have most people, audience and fans like aaaahh and have them sooo happy!!!! smile i would go to the cinema 5-6times...but as i see it..i wonīt go there only once, and then i will be completely depressed and crying all my life no ... Why NOW???Only a few days till AWE and now so terrible news??? sad Iīll kill myself....

and this : It's not just that she has to remain faithful to him for ten years. She has to remain faithful and in love with him for ten years. I don't think that they'd write a story in which she waits for him for ten years and then says: 'see ya'. savvysparrow

but i hate this ending as well....sad but yeah great for you Willabethers as it seems, youīll won!...But i still donīt get it -since every sparrabether has sooooo faith all the time and we were soooo excited and we were decided to do anything to have our ship and here we are???Itīs unfair to us...
Well sorry I was just too histerical and annoyed...BUT iīm still SPARRABETHER and i will be forever forever and forever big grin

and btw remember : jerry said that elizabeth will show her true feelings for sparrow barbossa and her estranged fiancee will....smile (iīm positive)

Lol, are you calling me out? I'm not a Willabether JacksSweet. We're on the same team.

I remain a Sparrabether, but at the moment I would take Alonabeth over her having to prove herself faithful for ten years.

I repeat myself. What kind of marriage is this?I don't think Willabethers win either. How can Will and Elizabeth be happy like this?Waiting for ten long years. She must be very sure she loves Will that much.It isn't fair to her.It isn't fair to either of them.
I still don't get the whole thing. It's Davy's curse. What does it have to do with Will?He doesn't deserve to be cursed.
My other question.Does he remain immorteal after ten years,if Elizabeth is faithful? What about age?She will be ten years older,Will 's going to be the same age as now.I don't like this ending. If Will is reallly unselfish, and loves her so much she lets her go.

Ooh, the feminist side of it all. That's where I'm torn in half. I'm a bit of a feminist, although not much of one, and this whole idea of Liz waiting cuts two ways.
Spouses should be faithful. If it were the other way around, I would like to think Will would be faithful to her. It's not anti-feminist to be loyal to someone. It shows great strength and loyalty, qualities that both men and women are praised for.
But then, from a writer's perspective, is that fair to her character? That's what makes me unsure about the ending, but it all depends on how it's played out, so I'm going to keep an open mind.

OMG GOD GOD!!!!!!!!YOUīRE RIGHT!!! Ditte, thatīs truth wow i didnīt think about it this way...Yes T&T said it about Davy only, didnīt they???
So what does this have to do with will and liz???And i agree it isnīt fair to anyone of them...
It isnīt fair to JACK in a first place, who loves her so much, decided to die for her
It isnīt fair to ELIZABETH coz we all know even though she loves him thereīs also one other who loves her more and whom she loves more and she loves will yes sheīs decided to be with him at all prize but to not make him sad and heartbroken...
and...to Will??? i donīt know but have a woman who is decided to stay with him to not make him heartbroken it must hurt him more than idea-her being happy with the man she loves...

so our ending is the most fair....and i think as T&T said "the most correct choice" smile
well....but it still can mean her being with Will coz "this" is correct....but where does this leave HAPPY ENDING???hmmm??? smile

hmm....

I still can't think how Will will let lizzie be by herself for ten years. What about those romantic movies when you really love someone and you don't want them to suffer so you let them go because you know it is the right thing to do? I mean why have DMC if no sparrabeth, why have that kiss, why have them flirt and make it look sexy, why put it was a kiss that has been building since the day that met, or why put when jack looked into her eyes he can tell that her true heart is the same as his, why have them have their own song together, why put fate intervened, why not have the movie people tell us who she ends up with, why make dolls and put them together and say is it love or hate between jack Sparrow and Elizabeth swann, why have Jack vexed by her, why not have her and will marry already, why why why why???? If it is not going to be sparrabeth!! I cannot lose faith it is just too close!!!

Seriously, if the writers did not want fans to consider (and for some, embrace) the idea of Jack and Liz together, then they should have given them something to do besides flirt and test each other? Why not keep their minds on the task at hand? And why not have another character kill him? Or if they wanted Liz to do it, why not have her do it the conventional way? "See the gun pointed to your head? Good. Now I'm going to chain you to the mast and there will be no way you should be getting a hard on."
