How can you judge which one is worse? , they're both pathetic and cruel and any person who does either of them shouldn't live.

Not really. Murder is by far the worse, because you take a person's life.
As far as people not being allowed to live, that is not your choice to make.

No it should be the choice of the criminal justice system.

Well I'm sure those who got murdered and the little children that got sexually assaulted would say that it wasn't their choice for it to happen either , so why not it be our choice that they don't live.?

reduce it? .... if your goal is to bring back a punishment like death then reducing isnt good enough... add in or make it your goal to be 100% sure you have thee right person.

What I said was you make it so a prosecutor has the option of seeking the death penalty. But if he does then his burden of proof in the case should be stronger. That will cut down greatly on wrongful convictions.

I'm not saying it will never fail. But that may be the price for a safer society.

Rapists and Murders ARE below human, a person has to be in order to do what they do. And yes I believe the state should execute them as opposed to keeping them safe and cozy in prison, and yes I still plan to make it one of the main focuses of my legal career to bring the death penalty back to Canada.
OMFG not this again

How? I plan to work within the law to achieve this. I do not believe in people taking the law into their own hands.

"Cutting down" on wrongful convictions is not enough when the punishment is death. There need to be NO wrongful convictions, and seeing as that won't happen, there needs to be no death penalty.
