The Passion Recut?

Worth it?

The films Director cut out six minutes of the films gruesome torture scenes in order to make it more viewer friendly.

That's the downside. The upside is it contains alot of special features the original dvd didn't contain.

So is it worth it? To buy a watered down version of a great movie even though the dvd contains great special features?

I never saw POTC so I'm not into this new release. I think it's funny how it's the "Definitive Version" now. So a triple dip from this film would make them hypocritical. wink

I imagine this one is for parents to show their children. I see no other reason in buying it, unless you were doing just that.

Just don't buy either version of the movie, since it's shit, and such.

I think if parents really want their children to see this they should show their children the original cut so they can see what Christ went through for us

haha.

The only reason I would buy the dvd is because of the special features which there seems to be alot of. I was aggravated when I found out the dvd was actually a lighter version of the original as far as gore and violence. Seems to me Gibson stripped the film of the only thing that made it unique from every other Jesus movie out there.

My opinion, if your going to even show your kids the movie. Either show them the original or dont show it at all. The crucifixtion and flogging isn't something you should sugar-coat. If you can't show them the original then just find some other movie out there on the life of Christ. There's plenty to choose from.

It's not something I would go out of my way to watch again.
