Here he fights Namor. Namor is savage in this fight, and Mar-Vell doesn't look like he's trying too hard. He also lets down his guard a couple times. Namor falls from some sort of mental aspect, but it didn't look like it affected is fighting, mind, or strength before that.

Kind of a bad showing... but meh. CM takes a cheapshot to no effect, and he also doesn't have Cosmic Awareness for this fight. Ms. Marvel, and Mar-Vell fight Cobalt Man.

Captain Marvel #62.
Here, he fights Stellarx. This is a pretty cool fight, and Mar-Vell also absorbs some of his energy, and blasts him back with it. Mar-Vell ends up kicking his ass though.
