i never watched blair witch. i have a horrible horrible nausea problem. i used to get sick sitting in a car lol.

well. hmm. can anyone give me more info about Ringu or Ghost Ship?

all i know really about ringu is that it was based on some story written by some Suzuki dude .. ooh, and what's up with his stories? are they really that good?

and with ghost ship, i think the name says something about it.. but what else?

The basic plot of Ring is about a video tape which, if viewed by anyone, they die exactly a week later. A film student sets out to find out whether this tape exists and, theorising a serial killer is doing the work, wants to uncover the mystery.

Needless to say, this is a bad idea, and from the point she finds the tape onwards things get a WHOLE let worse. The plot twists several times past that original premise but the basic idea of the tape that kills remains.

There was a sequel- which wasn;t really much good- and a prequel, Ring 0, which I have not seen yet.

The freakiest part of the whole film- other than a couple of bits at the end- is the video itself, which is not seen much and is very powerful to watch with, as I said before, the lights out and so on.

It will be interesting to see what the US version will make of the video. If it is not as freaky then much of the power will be lost.

ok, heres the official horror movie list from the resident horror buff of killermovies.com....

1. Texas Chainsaw Massacre - even nearly 30 years after being released, is sitll considered by many many many horror buffs and film critics as the scariest movie of all time. if you have not see this, its a must see on halloween

2. Dawn of the Dead - the 2nd instalment of george romeros zombie epics which set the standard for all future zombie movies. has great use of comedy to lighten an otherwise very eerie movie.

3. Day of the Dead - another of romeros zombie epics, and my personal favorite. fun film to watch with a group. GREAT gore effects

4. as mediocre as this movie is, its still a must on halloween, for obvious reasons.

5. Evil Dead - the ultimate party horror movie, great to watch alone or with a group of people.

6. Blair witch project - one of the creepiest new horror movies, although is somewhat of a remake of cannibal holocaust, it is still extremely creepy and gets under your skin beautifully.

7. Return of the living Dead - hmmm, this should probably be higher on the list, like with evil dead now that i think about it, another great party movie, more or less a comedy, but still scary just a tiny bit. fun movie.

8. night of the living dead - the first zombie movie, and one of the best. still very scary

9. Friday the 13th part 3-X - all of these are fun to watch, not the first one though, boring boring boring

10 - nightmare on elmstreet - another fun movie, just kick back and enjoy some genuinly frightening, and laughable scenes.

those are my 10 picks for horror movies to watch on halloween, many of my personal favorites are purposely not on that list, because frankly, they arent all that fun to watch with a group, all of these are more or less fun, and scary at the same time. cant miss with any of them.

blair witch is more disturbing then evil dead. evil dead is more or less just surprise scenes with some great suspense. blair witch has some of the best psychological horror ive seen in a long time. evil dead is more fun to watch though. cuz it has some humor in it too.

evil dead isnt THAT old. it was made in the 80's. there were many horror movies before it that were extremely psychological.
