Just started to play this game. I wanted to wait till I could play the PC.
Excellent game. The first couple of missions kinda of made me worry about the SP, but it got alot better. The "All Ghilled Up" level was just the best COD mission in its game history. Up there with the first attack during the night in COD1.
The graphics are amazing, not Crysis amazing , but still the second best. The sound though is what makes it amazing. Best sound in a game.
SP is great, but its still COD gameplay, but the modern setting makes it a tad bit different.
MP is where its at though. I like to play a smaller player servers because its more of an stalking type thing than all out crazy.
Great game though.

I've finally gotten Live Gold and have started playing this game online (so keep an eye out for "Morridini"), I have to wonder why not all of the things available here is not available in the split-screen version.
Also, I am not too fond of how they manage server hosting and how you join them, I would love to be able to search for particular maps, and definitely find out who the host is, many times the game has ended because the host didn't know he/she was the host.

I dont have a problem with the leveling up.
I actually really like it. I feel I accomplished something and I have something to work for.
Battlefield was the exact same way. They had the main weapons, but you can unlock more.

Hmm, are you replying to something I said? Or just throwing in your two cents on the online thingy?
Cause I love the level system, think it is pretty fun-

My two cents.
I dont know why the developers did the online they way they do it.
It's cool, but also annoying because my profile mysteriously disappeared, which erased my SP game, and about an hour of MP that I played.

Yes there is only so much fun you can have killing Nazi's before it becomes stale; incredibly unrealistic, modern battles are closer to home; don't we all want to teach the insurgents and terrorists a lesson without getting killed ourselves, much more believable and much more fun.

I think Call of Duty 4 was a breath of fresh air, but it's still Call of Duty.
Heck, the last level is a carbon copy of the damn level in the first game.
I think they should just take a break from the COD franchise and do something new.
Dont get me wrong, I loved the game, but everything about it was exactly the same as the other games. Only the Ghilly mission felt new.

The first level of the first game was the Mile High Club?

Bah, anyone else ever experience that you do what a Challenge asks for and still don't get it achieved?
Just scored the highest over-all in a Team Deathmatch fight and still didn't get the challenge.

They are tricky but if you push it as soon as you see the analog stick you should be fine.
