I always played as Link because he had the spin move, the grappling hook, and the bomb which was always good for hurting multiple people.

A lot of people liked him, but it really depended on the player. Most Smash Bros. players I know are good with Link, myself included, but the best players I ever played used others that you wouldn't think of right away.

Actually, by consensus of most tournament level players, Fox is the best character in Smash Bros. Melee. Though Link is definitely a top tier character. thumb up

My brother loves to use Jigglypuff and just rest me out of the arena. roll eyes (sarcastic)

Even though he loses every match against me, he has the highest kill record because he blasts people out of the arena in 4-man matches.

One of my favorite things to do is when someone tried to hit me with a big hit I would throw a Bomb down blowing us both up let's see Fox do that

I'd be interested to see statistical stuff on their "rankings". Do you have any links to that tourney stuff you mentioned?

Best player I ever faced used Falco (similar to Fox) so I can believe that. Zelda's actually my best, but I use Shiek about 90% of the time since her normal form is crap.

N64 had the first game. 2nd game was on Gamecube. upcoming 3rd game, is on the Wii.
