BUT- The story is like the same as The Silence of the Lambs isnt it? Except different investiagtor and different killer. Someone seeking answers from Lecter in order to catch a killer...same thing. I could be wrong.

Yes indeed, Manhunter was the film of the book. The people who made it had the rights to both books (before Hannibal was written) but decided not to go on and make Silence, and sold the rights on. D'oh!
