The portal was literally built around the core/heart of the Burning Galaxy, and dwarfed Stars etc. As I recall when Surtur was forging the Sword, the core contained Stars etc.
This is ridiculously impressive of course if that is what happened, but to those who have read the issues from your understanding was Surtur inside the core of the Galaxy when this happened as he destroyed the Galaxy forging Twilight at the core, and hence he was not destroyed (That reduces the feat.) or was the portal was just that a portal, and after creating his sword, he simply used the portal as a gate way?
Personally I understood it as it being a portal as even after this gateway was destroyed, Surtur had another gateway apparently that after the Casket of Ancient Winters was unleashed he broke through to this Universe.
Just wondering, how impressive this feat is to others.
As I understood it, Thor fought the real Doom, and kicked his ass. When Thor let Doom go, Doom sneaked back and set a robot in his place. For those who have read the story they would have noticed that the Doombots where connected to a power source to feed power which the Doom that Thor fought was specifically shown not to be (I.e I recall showing the area behind him and he did not have a wire trailing etc. to the castle interior.).
It even makes more sense, as two issues earlier, new and improved Doombots, were utterly crushed by Sif and the warrior three. This Doom held out a built longer, and the energy he released seemed hell of a lot similar to the energy he released in his lab when talking about the Odin Force.
And yea, that was the Destroyer armor. Far from any Doombot.
Different kinds of Doombots though.
The ones that got owned by Sif/Voltagg etc were upgraded versions of the many robots Doom uses for general battle. I mean, Wasp was owning Doombots in the MA invasion, but those weren't his replica Doombots, which have always been >> Soldiers.
I have a question is Donald Black simply Thor in human form? I know in the past people have been granted the power of thor, so is Donald Blake simply a human who gained the power of Thor or is he truelly Thor in human form?
Dude... If u noticed... the moment Thor woke up He hit Sentry away but he did not react to Norman, moonstone and U-foes simply becos he might kill them. Wait till the next issue dude...u night be surprised to see Thor Killing.
Ok guys... Bendis just did it. I saw the preview of siege 2. [SPOILER - highlight to read]: Thor will be taken down but not out by Norman, moonstone and U-foes, and Maria Hill will come to his rescue.
