Terran is legitimately that easy to win with. And yes, I'm in gold, lol. Terran can actually out-mass Zerg because marines are only 50 minerals and 1 supply while anything that isn't a Zergling for Zerg is 2 supply. (IE, roaches and hydralisks both sit on 2 supply, and massed marines rape mutas who are 100 minerals 100 gas, 1 supply) So, without micro and tactics, massed marines from a two base Terran can and will destroy Zerg. Maurauders RAPE Roaches, which I massed, but thank God he didn't have tanks

But you wouldn't know as you rest your head.
I think I have said it before, but I will say it again, Marines are overpowered. That said, I beat a guy who I kept stuck in his turtle until he broke out with about 50 upgraded marines. Fortunately about 10 spinecrawlers kept them at bay while my Muta's destroyed his base.
Funny thing is, both of us during the game said Marines were OP...
The league system in this game is so strange. Over the last 2 days i went 10-0 against diamond players (all my games had been against them). Then today I have a really bad day and lose 6 of 9 games (four of those losses came in a row). Then I win one game and get promoted to diamond.
"The Daemon lied with every breath. It could not help itself but to deceive and dismay, to riddle and ruin. The more we conversed, the closer I drew to one singularly ineluctable fact: I would gain no wisdom here."
So, finally got enough money to start playing this game.
I LOVE the campaign. Sure, it's a "been there, done that" story. But I love the RPG elements to the story and how there's a really good incentive to do the bonus objectives.
I just played the "potential protess future" level and holy crap, that level was hard. I still won the first time around but I could barely keep up with each wave. I ended up spamming phase canons and Warp Rays with one carrier to each 5 warp rays. That got me to the end but I was wiped out quickly there-after.
I have two friend invites to play online...but I'm not so sure I should play online quite yet: I'll prolly get pwned.
* sorry guys, i don't have much time to read all 26 pages of this thread... but please spare with me... i'm just another StarCraft-maniac, i purchased it and having trouble playing it offline... can you guys help me how? i'm stuck at the beginning where it automatically prompts me to sign up an account for Battle.net, i don't want it, i just want to play a single player skirmishes, me against the computer and of course, the campaigns for me to know the continuation of the Brood War arc... i also clicked "Play as Guest" but it still wants me to go to an internet connection to sign up... so, how in the blue hell can i play this freakin' game without it prompting me to go online?
The more DRM companies put on their systems and other "anti pirate" nonsense the easier it is for real illegal practitioners to avoid prosecution. And the harder it is for regular people to enjoy the game.
The more DRM companies put on their software, the harder it is for everyone to work with the software: even pirates.
They will always be NP-Complete problems.
You're right. However, I'm playing the single player, everyday, for hours. I'm getting better, doing that. I really don't like online play, too much. I get burned out in about a week of any online play in games. Imma play with my two homies.
Is there any way I can play with a specific person (not in those tiers)?

Dude, you can call Blizzard support and have them register your "CD" key, for you. That's what I did (as I had a question about the new Key I got and the dude offered to activate my copy.) However, it still requires access to the internet in order for your install to "see" the registration.
Here is Blizzard Support's #: 1-949-955-1382
Call in the morning. Seriously. The later in the day you call, the longer it will take to get someone on the line. Nerds are night owls (I'm a night owl...big time.)
K, so like, I had my first online game against someone.
I won...but...it was bitter sweet.
He was a newb...didn't even know how to build nukes. However, he built out fast and built turrets to detect ghosts.
Still, I got my ass thoroughly kicked by my online buddy. He's a gold...and I can only make the game last 20 minutes against him. My APMs are higher (24), so I'm just not managing properly.
And how do those Korean guys justify 200+ APMs? Sometimes, I can't do anything but sit and wait for shit to build.
What are good ways to spend the first 5 minutes of the game?
