What about the Zerg? I havnt heared alot of new info on them. I know the Protess have a ton of new units and the Terran have a few but the only two Zerg units I know are the big worms and the zergs that join together to form some sort of explosion balls.
I've always been a more defensive player in RTS's. I love having rows of Bunkers, and Turrets and Siege Tanks and then attack knowing that the other team will take forever to kill me.
But its extremely hard to do in online play.
Even though, I love Company Of Heroes and World In Conflict looks very promising (played the demo), it seems that alot of RTS's are going towards the more attack orientated gameplay rather than a combination of both offense and defense.
I liked Supreme Commander because it offered a way of building defenses and actually winning but bombing the shit out of them, but there was a few elements that I didnt really like that game.
Static defense is pretty much obsolete in multiplayer online StarCraft. A waste of resources not to mention space....you're much better off with upgraded units. Against a CPU it is effective though, because they don't know how to mass to save their own artificial hides.
only RTS i can play close to acceptable is Supreme commander in multiplayer, i just dont like rushing constantly like people do in most other games, its powerful, but i find it boring winning a game in 3 mins for the sake of winning

So has anyone else seen the 10-20 minute gameplay videos for the three races? I'd post them but I've g2g in ten minutes... I'll probably do it when I get back if no one else has.
Anyway the games shaping up well. I've seen some really good stuff from all three races, though I think I'll probably be playing predominantly as Terran again, they look so versatile.
There superweapon, the THOR, looks really weak though. It also looks like a SupCom rip-off imo Protoss Mothership looks awesome. Black holes ftw!
And I can see the Zerg being totally super cheap now, between the kamikaze banelings and the new defilers that can move around the map while burrowed, and the fact that they can infest supply deposts and barracks... Pretty deadly.
I think you can download the videos from Starcraft2.com , but if not just go to youtube and type in protoss gameplay trailer part 1, Zerg gameplay or terran gameplay trailer part 1.
I'm wondering (hoping) that with the first game you'll be able to play as all the races in skirmish/multiplayer. From what I hear, you will. Hopefully this is actually true.
