Chapter 36
The Winzegamot
Silently Harry apparated into the hallway outside the ministers office regardless of the wards, as he aimed his wand infront of him he was suddenly aware of the deathly quietness, today was a weekday, these corridors should be packed, slowly one step at a time he moved forward keeping to the walls for cover.
He made it halfway down the corridor and there was still no noise heard from Scrimageour's office, taking his strides a bit quicker he fastly approached the door, pressing his ear to the door first before he made his move, slowly he pressed the door open then pushed it as hard as he could as he rolled into the room.
He came out f his roll with his wand raised high expecting to face Death Eaters but the office was deserted, he instantly thought the Death Eaters had taken him, the office was empty and looked ghostly, only the signs of a struggle were the papers on the desk spread out over the floor in no paticular fashion, slowly he began to stand up.
Harry took in his surrondings, no forced entry, papers over the floor, and the halls deathly quiet, he could only come up with the idea that the minister had been taken and it was done as an inside job, somebody had managed to get everybody out, arrange a scheldule with the minster and then capture.
Harry sighed and lowered his wand, he cast his down in respect to the fallen leader however much he hated the man, he had attacked Harry on several occaions with out so much as a single doubt, he had conered him into taking a job at the minsitry which he had managed to decline luckily.
Harry knew he didnt have long to act if he was to save the entire ministry, peoples livelyhoods depended on him, people like arthur had families to support they wouodnt be able to if they were jobless, he didnt know how to go about this he could only think that the winzegamot was the idealw way to do this.
Harry moved across to the ministers desk in an attempt to find some way to contact the winzegamot, but when he got closer and could see over the desk and the floor space behind it he found that Scrimagoeur hadn't lft the building he was lying behind the desk unmoving a pool of blood forming around his body.
Harry quickly darted around the table and crouched down next to the man who wasn't dead yet, his eyes were darting back wards and forwards furiously, he looked up to see Harry and he was calmed instantly.
"i kn...knew you would...find me...Harry" he spluttered blood issueing from his mouth, it tricled out of the corner of his mouth efore joining the puddle on the floor.
"save your energy Rufus, i have to get you to St Mungos" Harry said trying to pick the dying man up, Scrimagoeur stopped him and looked into his eyes.
"Umbridge...gone...winzegamot...death eater" he said slowly before slowly and painfully withdrawing the memory of the attack form his mind.
Harry instantly conjured a jar and once Scrimagoeur was done he corked and hid it within the depths of his robes, he looked down to see Scrimageour smiling.
"make sure...you...kill the *****" he said laughing before it turned into a choke and the man breathed his last breath before his head hit the floor with a soft thud, Harry closed his eyes and closed the fallen politicians eyes, He stood up and cleared any evidence of him being there.
He left the room without looking back and he broke into a run towards the courtroom, then he stopped and burst out laughing, he had a better way to make an entrance.
"Fawkes" he shouted, the phoenix appeared and instanly knew where he wanted to go, travelling through the fiery vortex for seconds they reappeared inside a packed courtroom, Harry appeared right in the centre and smiled at the look at the face of Umbidge and several of the board, however most of them were smiling and waving at his arrival, Harry joyfully smiled back. He instructed fawkes via his mind link to get rufus's dead body to Hogwarts infirmary, the phoenix dissapeared and Harry turned to face the court.
"Potter! what are you doing here!" Umbridge screamed, he was a threat to her attempt to get the minister job.
"i believe that as the heir of Gryffindor i have a seat which i rightfully claim, as of now" Harry said sitting down.
"good day mr Potter" an elderly gentleman said to Harry, he extended his hand to Harry.
"good day sir, please just Harry is fine" Harry said shaking his hand.
He pulled his robes out to straightnen and looked up smiling at the people around him, he did notice that nearly all of them were smiling at him, he nodded his head and raised his hands like the head judge would do.
"please Delores proceed i beleive i might enjoy this" he said smiling.
umbridge gave him a look that could have killed him instantly he gave her a wide smile back.
"as i was about to say i entered the office i came across several men dressed in dark cloaks and wearing masks-" she said.
"you mean Death Eaters dear!" Harry shouted out intercepting her, most of the people chuckled only a handfull glared at his outburst.
"yes, yes Death Eaters" she said hurriedly. "i came across them torturing the minister" the court sat up listening and Umbridge smiled. "the saw me and went to attack me, but there powers were none to mine and i succesfully defeated them and theyportkeyed away before i could detain them" Umbridge said looking over the crowd one by one. "as i was Deputy Minster to Rufus i will take over as minister to ensure that the country is run to the best of its ability." she said finishing her speech, the hall was silent until.
" clap, clap, clap" echoed around the room, everyone turned to harry who was clapping slowly ans smiling.
"excellent Delores, i didn't think you had it in you, Death Eaters ey, well you see i managed to get to the ministry just in time" Harry said standing up, he walked down the steps and stood in the middle of the room.
"yes i arrived at Rufus's office just in time, now can somebody tell me what day it is?" harry asked.
The crowd were silent just looking at harry with great interest.
"its tuesday harry" the elderly gentleman sitting next to him said.
"thankyou sir...yes it is tuesday, now the funny thing is, its midweek the offices are meant to be packed, especially the Ministers floor, how convinient is it that the halls happen to be empty the day the minister of magic is murdered" Harry said walking across the hall.
"you see, it shouldn't have been empty, and there is also the fact that you are not able to apperate into the minstry so how on earth did, several was it, yes, how on earth did several death eaters get in, my suspicions were of an inside job." Harry said, the members of the court began muttering to each other, weighing up the possibilites, Harry raised his hand and silence was given.
"so yes, lucky was it that i managed to arrive at the ministers office in time to speak with Rufus before his last breath, we of course did not exchange welcomes, he informed me that he ahd been attacked by one person and one person only, and that person was our own Delores Umbridge" Harry said pointing to her.
The Hall bursted out in chatter one of the men who had been watching Harry distatsefully during the entire sermon stood up.
"absurd! Madame Umbridge was the ministers right hand man and his best worker, she would not have comitted such a crime." the man said.
"ahh, it appears from the use of the word 'was' that you are all to aware that the minister is dead and that you knew full well what Umbitch was plannig to do and were placed here by Voldermort in an attempt to get her onto the leading sit as soon as possible" Harry stated, The hall if possible was no roaring with chatter.
"its all lies!" umbridge screamed.
Harry raised his hands and all talking stopped imediately.
"i have evidence of this treason, Rufus gave me the memory before he died, no if i may" Harry said pointing to Umbridge, the leaders on the board nodded.
"Captain Fisher could you please arrest Umbridge and place in an high securtity cell in azkaban please" Harry asked the man who he had fought with at the minsitry, the man had been given an appointment
"yes Sir" the man said before getting two guards to escort the woman to the prison.
"you can't do this, you are just a boy, a boy who will meet his sticky end by the hand sof the dark lord." the same man shouted.
"you will be silent or you will suffer my wrath!" Harry roared, the walls shook to give a greater impression.
"i have not fought evil all my life and lost all of my family, i have not died and came back to deal with the likes of you, you will hold your tongue, i know your a death death eater, only they call Voldermort the Dark lord, i should have you arrested" harry snapped, the man looked around before sitting back down.
"the time comes for a new Minister of Magic, someone who is strong enough to lead this country during dark times, somebody who cares for the saftey of its people" Harry said striding the room.
"i vote for you Mr Potter" the elderly man said, there was a chorus of agrrements around the room Harry raised his hands for silence.
"No...i cant...i have to many things to do, i have school work and i am actively trying to disable Voldermort, no, i believe that it is down to two people to lead our country in its time of need" Harry said loudly.
"first Kingsley Shacklebolt...he is a strong leader...he will fight the death eaters regardless of its cost, he can lead men without question...the other is Arthur Weasley, all of his life his has worked at the Ministry earning a small income, yet during this time he has managed upbring seven children, he has been one of the lead characters in the war against Voldermort for many years, his whole family is fighting against Voldermort, he is a compassionate man who cares for the people, he has the muggles interests at heart too, him with Shacklebolt as leader of his aurors we will have a chance to win this war"

"think on it...i await your desicion in the morning papers...choose wisley or i shall interfere again" Harry said before dissapearing in a ball of flames.

Chapter 37
Holiday
Harry reappeared in the schools infirmary next to the body of the ex- minister, he walked over to Madame Pomfrey who was overseeing the corpse.
"he's definately dead Poppy?" Harry asked.
"yes" she whispered "he is gone"
They stood there in silence for several minutes looking at the dead form of the country's leader.
"there will be a new minister tomorrow, we await the winzegamots decision" Harry said triedly collapsing into the nearest chair.
"you are over working yourself Harry, if you dont slow down you will end up in here" Poppy told him softly.
"somebody must protect the people, somebody must lead them in these dark times, and somebody has to make the sacrifice" Harry said quietly. "it has to be me Poppy"
"there was never a doubt of that was there" she whispered.
"no...i was born for this, as long as The Potter line is carried on then i shall be victourious" Harry told her smiling.
"i presume your fiancee is pregnant?" she asked smiling.
"yes, she is two weeks now...we were wondering when it came to it...if you would be the midwife" Harry said standing up.
"i'd be honoured, after all it was me who brought you into the delivered you" she said hugging him. "no run along back to your family an dtake a break, and means with Ginny as well" she said smiling.
"of course Poppy, i will see you soon" he said before walking out of the room.
"i know you will" she whispered.

Harry entered his common room and was greeted by a hug from Ginny, he wrapped his arms around her and nestled his head into her neck, they stayed like that for several minutes, nobody bothering to move the couple, Harry rubbed his eyes and yawned.
"come on Harry, it's been a hard day...lets go to bed" she said, they bade there goodnights to the others and left emma with mara and they departed for bed.
They got changed and climbed into bed, Ginny rolled into Harry and snuggled into him, he put his arms around her waist and pulled her in close.
"i'm leaving Ginny, just for two weeks...i'm going to go to my house on the carribean island, you can stay here for your newts, i coud pass them now...i will take them when i get back" he told her, she said nothing only remained holding him tightly. "it seems i didnt get around to much schooling this year" he whispered.
"cant i come with you, i need a break too...i know everything allready" she said looking up to him.
"i hoped you would say that...we'll take Mara as well...but i need to organize a order meeting for tomorrow"he whsipered, he kissed her forehead signalling the end of the conversation, together they fell asleep quickly.

The next day Harry was standing infornt of the gathered Order in Potter Manor, all the teachers that were in the order were there too, he was informing them of there instructions for whilst he was gone.
"you all remember the horcruxes, yes, well one of them is in the lake underneath the school and the other is at the orphange he grew up in, i need you to locate them, do not attept to remove them there will be terrible curses on them, i shall deal with them" he told them "just locate them ready for my return, the end is near, i need all the horcruxes out of the way...the diary is gone, the locket, the ring and the snake all that is left is the cup which is under the castle and Gryffindors ring rightfully mine in the orphanage...once again just locate" He said to the group.
He moved on from the horcruxes to the new appoitment of the minister, can we all offer our congratulations to Minister Weasley" harry said indicating to Arthur who stood up and bowed to a loud applause, his wife sitting beside them teary eyed, Arthur looked at Harry and raised his hand to his head in salute.
"with Arthur as minister we now have acess to the aurors which is what i tried to get the first time i enetred the ministry at the start of the summer." Harry said to applause, he raised his hand and they were again silent.
"remember locate only, and if Voldermort attacks anywhere call fawkes and he will bring me to the battle, i hope there is no emergencies, Ginny is still a little annoyed about Christmas day" Harry said smiling, the members chuckled at his predicament.
The group disbanded and headed there own ways, Harry locked the Manor up and told most of the elfs to go to the carribean lodge where they could carry on working. He then went back to Hogwarts and helped Ginny pack, he was soon booted out of the room by her insisting he was getting in the way.
Annoyed he changed into his running gear and went out too run around the lake, he past the spot where he chucked Lavender in and laughed, it was agood job he had managed to restrain Ginny from going to kill her, he carried on running and ran past the spot he deafeated the Dementors from Sirius, he tried to look away and carried on runnning, he then ran past the spot he sat over looking the lake in his second year wondering who he was, he sighed, had he really figured that out yet.
He was still confused to who he really was, the heir of Gryffindor was lost in his own world, confused to his identity, was there anybody who could find it, he doubted so he carried on searching, and thats what he ha dbeen searching for, the reason to his life and mostg of all who he really was.
When he entered the great hall lunch time was ending and the students were leaving to make way to there next lessons, Harry heard his name being called and sighed before turning around, he was shocked to see that it was McGonagall calling him he went over to her and apologiesd for trying to get away, she waved him away.
"now Harry, two days after yu come back is the last game of the season in Quidditch, yo have i presumed no idea of what has been happening" Minerva said, he shook his head, so she told him.
"its a Gryffindor and Slytherin final as allways, we have beaten both Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw so we need to win this game...now there are scout coming from several clubsin the quidditch league, coming to find talent for the future, i'm proud to say that you are the best seeker i have ever seen, i full expect you too play and win the game...it will be soon time to end your war with dark wizards, i think your parents would prefer it if you followed Quidditch as a career, you could be the best in the world" she told him.
Harry smiled, that was what he wanted to do, he wanted to play quidditch, he wanted to be the best and thats what he wanted to be, he wanted to be known for being good at somethingother than dfeatingevil wizards.
He thanked her nad made his way back to the dorm and waited for Ginny to pack, it wasnt long before she was finished so Harry then made sure he had his broom and Maras too, which was of course hidden in his pocket. They said there goodbyes to the Weasleys and departed, they reappeared outside the manor and smiled it was perfect, the sun was high in the sky and the plam trees provided a pleasant shade, they began the walk to the house asnd entered settling in.

also any ideas would be apprecitaed from ANYBODY because i'm getting serious writers blocks, send ideas by PM so nobody knows whats coming, if it was in here then they would know and it wouldn't be as good as reading it for the first time.
