Beautiful
Beautiful,
stuck in our throats.
Chasing us everywhere we go.
Hunts us.
Stuck on us,
like glue.
Like a cockroach,
everlasting,
almost.
We try to escape,
away from the horrifying beautiful.
A concept,
made for harassment.
Like a shadow.
Used in wrong terms.
Has set a standard for our poor souls,
desperately the unsureness fill our veins.
Poisoning the lost souls of tomorrow.
A lovely word,
used wrong.
The sense of true beauty never reach the screen.
Hidden from the outside world,
while we try to embrace the false dignity.
The false mentality sets a double standard,
laughs at us right in the face.
Thinking we're smart,
being dumb.
It can't be characterised,
or set in motion.
There's no description,
no recipe.
Only man-made.
A fantasy.
A dream that never comes true.
Only one correct answer;
the beauty is within,
deeper,
it reaches beneath the eye,
it casts only a glimpse in the mirror of our souls.

All Alone
I'm all alone,
even though I'm standing in a crowd.
No one can hear me,
because they're too busy,
being popular.
When I'm here,
they just ignore me.
When I speak,
they just laugh.
They're blindfolded,
by trying,
to be someone they're not.
When I'm here,
no one can see me.
I'm kind of invisible,
but I'm not really hiding.
They go on with their talk,
surrounded,
on their little island.
Don't even notice the world outside.
It hurts me,
that it's got to be this way.
No one by my side,
but I manage to fight the tears.
But I can not forget the wounds inside.
I'm tougher than the rest,
standing here all alone.
I want to let go of this place,
and make an end.
It's tough,
got no scars to show.
They hope seeing me crawl,
they hope seeing me fall.
If I leave this place,
I will leave no trace.
Because I know,
they don't care.
To them,
I don't matter,
I don't even exist.
They just follow the rest,
trying not to be the outsider.
Well I don't really care,
I'm leaving them out of my life,
anyhow, anyway.
They don't realise,
how foolish they are.
No one is independent enough,
struggling to fit in.
Well hey,
I would rather go on,
being all alone.
Just being me.
Because I'm not the one,
who's living a life based on a lie.

Andre øyne
Jeg ser med andre øyne nå.
Andre øyne enn det jeg gjorde før.
Det er ikke min fornuft som har forandret seg,
heller mitt hjerte.
Det er ikke fordi jeg ikke elsker deg lenger,
det er heller at jeg ikke liker deg så godt som før.
Jeg har tatt av meg brillene.
Ikke fordi jeg ikke trenger dem lenger,
men fordi solen ikke lenger er så sterk.
Og selv om solen går ned,
så vil den stå opp igjen i morgen.
Noen ganger gjemt bak skyene riktignok.
Før trodde jeg at noe var mye mer enn enn noe.

Different Eyes
I see with different eyes now.
Different eyes than before.
It’s not my sense that has changed,
rather my heart.
It’s not because I don’t love you anymore,
more because I don’t like you as much as I used to.
I’ve taken off my spectacles.
Not because I don’t need them anymore,
but because the sun isn’t any longer that strong.
And even though the sun is going down,
there will still be a sunrise tomorrow.
Though sometimes hiding behind the clouds.
Earlier on I thought that some was a lot more than some.
Earlier on I thought that a lot was a lot bigger than a lot.
Now I know that some is bigger than a lot.
Now I know that a lot is bigger than some.
Your ball pen is not like any other ball pens.
Your ball pen pointed a hole on my untouched paper.

Yet another poem from me, translated from Norwegian into English;
Å forstå
Mange har tydeligvis vanskelig for å forstå.
Forstå det som er utenfor deres fatteevne.
Enten fordi de ikke gidder å forstå,
eller fordi de simpelthen ikke vet hvordan de skal kunne forstå.
Mange skjønner seg ikke på ensomhet.
Mange frykter ensomheten.
Slik de frykter døden.
Men ensomheten er noe mer en ensomhet.
Det er viktig å kunne være alene.
Å finne seg selv alene.
Det er viktig å kunne like sitt eget selskap.
På den måten vil man kunne like andres selskap bedre.
Folk skjønner ikke at ensomhet ikke alltid ensomhet.
Ensomhet finnes i mange former.
Det er viktig å huske på forskjellene.
Det er viktig å ikke blande dem sammen.
Det finnes to måter å være ensom på.
Den ensomheten man velger selv
og den man ikke velger selv.
Skillene kunne ikke vært større.
Mangelfull kunnskap om ensomhet skaper ofte ensomhet,
for ensomheten blir ikke ensom før det blir satt ord på den.
Det er bedre å være ensom alene,
enn ensom med mange.

Some obviously have a hard time of understanding.
An understanding of what goes beyond their comprehension.
Either because they don’t want to understand,
or simply because they don’t know how to.
Some don’t understand loneliness.
Many fear the loneliness.
Like the fear of death.
But loneliness is more than just loneliness.
It’s important to be able to be alone.
To find one self alone.
It’s important to like the company of one self.
That way one will be able to enjoy other’s better.
People don’t understand that loneliness isn’t always loneliness.
There are different kinds of loneliness.
It’s important to know the difference.
It’s important not to mix them.
There are two ways of being lonely.
The loneliness one chooses
and the one where one doesn’t choose.
The gap couldn’t be bigger.
Insufficient knowledge about loneliness creates loneliness,
Because loneliness won’t be lonely until one actually says it is.
It’s better to be lonely alone,
than lonely with many.

An avalanche of everything stupid.
I realised something important.

Deep-seated problems I know,
but nothing I can do.
