This topic isn't for Venom & this isn't even about the movie so I'd appreciate it if no one else would talk about Venom in this thread.

I've never really been a big fan of the sandman so this might be a dumb question but could he fly or float on wind currents in the comics like he did in the movie?

I doubt it. They probably did that only to make Sandman look cool. He, probably, never did it in the comic books.
