remake. haven't watched the original yet - have to. As much as I loved Nicolas Cage... It seriously would have been an interesting comedy, not horror. >>.
I liked the original, and I loved the third one, but number 2 just didn't scare me at all. I thought that the doctor was retarded looking, and also number 2 conflicted with number 1. In number 1, Frank got the father's skin, not his own, but in number 2 julia got her own skin back.

28 days later
28 weeks later
halloween (remake)
house of 1000 corpse
land of death (crap cannibal holocaust remake, do NOT watch)
dawn of the dead (remake)
thats probably the worst horror films made this decade,,
i was going to put down blair witch but i havnt seen it yet due to i keep falling asleep while its on,, so it most be crap if i do nod off,,
28 Days Later? Why do you think 28 Days Later is one of the worst.
Hardly worst. I also thought Dawn of the Dead was one of the better 'remakes' to come out. Now if you said the remake of Day of the Dead, I would agree. Day of the Dead was terrible.
Your list makes me wonder what you think is actually decent horror nowadays. 28 Days/Weeks Later, House of 1000 Corpses and the remake of Dawn of the Dead are actually all very good horrors and a welcome change to the current crap being churned out.
house of 1000 corpse is just another texas chainsaw massacre remake,, there was nothing new and its all been done before,, which is common with robert cummings aka rob zombie, he just copies other people idea's just like the names of the films, he hasnt got an orginal idea's in his thick head,,
dawn of the dead remake was crap due to zombies cant run due to rigormortis and if they did they would snap their leg tendons causing them to fall to the ground and it will be impossible for them to walk,, so how can you run if you cant walk..
28 days/ later was just bollocks,, crap storyline, wasnt gory, more like a children sunday morning film,,
the films i like are orginal, very gory and disturbing,,unlike the crap hollywood are making now

Yet the term zombies was never used in the 28 Days franchise (not to the best of my knowledge anyways), and plus for one to become a zombie you have to be bit but if you remember in 28 Days Later the dad (Brendan Gleeson) merely had a drop of infected blood land in his eye to become infected. Danny Boyle (28 Days Later's director) even tried to distance himself from the zombie genre and put it more on par with The Day of the Triffids.
And for the record 28 Days Later wasn't a Hollywood production, and whether you like it or not gained critical apprasial for its themes particuarly its social commentary.
