To be honest I'm starting to think Venom and Carnage are pretty much on the same level, Maybe carnage is slightly superior physicly...but as Venom has said he makes up for it in being more cunning a better fighter and generally just smarter...
But I think Current Venom could beat current Carnage...after all Eddie is in a nice hospital and Carnage is well ripped in half floating in space somewhere, not much of a contest now eh...
The first one was in "savage alliance" (Carnage first appearance) where Carnage managed to hold his own against both Spider and Venom. In the very same book Venom proved that he has better resistance to sonics.

For one, I said Venom & Carnage, not Eddie Brock & Cletus Kasady. Meaning I was talking about the symbiotes. Anyway, it's already been proven that each spawn of every symbiote is stronger than it's predecessor.

And that is exactly why I mentioned all thier fight and posted scans. I just figured that posting few Brock's feats couldn't hurt anyone.
That's just words. It's usually written in the same directories where it's stated that Venom is class 11. Which is bull.
All their 1 on 1 fights prove otherwise.

I wonder if they will have any guest stars in this series! It would be so cool if they re wrote some of the classic crossovers with Spidey and the Torch, or randomly threw Iron Man in again like in the 90's toon, BRING ON THE GUEST STARS!

Carnage took out both Venom & Spider-Man at the same time. Proof enough for me that Carnage>Venom.

He didn't take them out, he kept running from them using a baby as a live shield, but yeah he did good against both. It was ONCE in a book that was written like 20 years ago.
Later Spider-man and Daredevil had to help Carnage to stop Venom. And even then they couldn't.
This and 4 other fights aren't proof enough for you?

Um, whats going on in those scans? Cletus isn't even carnage yet.
Any fight between Carnage and Venom where they're fighting equally is PIS anyway. Or at least thats what I know. Unfortunately, I don't have scans and I've been trying to take a break character debates so I'm just going to say that and stay out of this one. If I don find scans though, I'll post them.

On the scans where Venom comes to Carnage's cell Cletus is Carnage, he's just not covered with the symbiote at that moment because he didn't want to fight Venom after what happened on trial.
He wasn't covered with the symbiote because the cell was stopping him... not because he didn't want to fight, and there were also sonic disruptors stopping him from bonding with the symbiote completely.
Well, he has to be bonded to the symbiote to be Carnage. He doesn't have to cover his face all the time.
Sonics do not work on Carnage anymore, but they do on Venom. Still Brock entered the cell and it didn't hurt him, so I believe Cletus could have turned if he wanted to. Also look at Carnage's face when Venom kills all the guards in seconds. "impossible" he said.
