Smile Your Kindred's Poems

Well, uh, I'm new here. And other people were sharing stuff so I thought I would as well. I just graduated high school and I'm an aspiring poet in soon-to-be-college.

I've been a victim of the ultimate fake piece of crap poetry.com.

So, yep, this is it. I'll start off with a few.

Anxiety of The Disconnected

And so it began,
A slow seed beginning to erupt with brood
And strike it's thorny roots into my lung
At the sight of task gone impossible

My fingers cringed with an overflow of blood
Sent by air from the godly brain who was yet
To be dethroaned with a neck by sword
And a wicked animal at handle!

No fever could have crisped the edge of my nerves
To save me from the boiling fluids underneath

People look at my eyes and they see doors;
Locked
Covering something intensley sad and excrutiating.

And they hush and turn round bends
To begin quarrel of my state!
Their plan to plaster me a cross,
Bearing my condition!

I withdraw
And scurried to a train
Strapped myself to the rooftop
Ripping air from my lungs;
From the crooked flower-
And so it began to wilt, and my skin blue
With a newer ocean taking place in my stomach
A tree upon the ocean shore;
Stability.

Video Rental

He works part time
At the video rental
And lives in the apartment
Across from mine
Secluded in walls
Broken bridges
Of talk
Modest
Quirky
And awkward
In the face of confrontation
Awkward in his step
With a rugged
Acquired handsome
Admired from quiet glances
Behind the counters
And shelves
Amongst movies
Glowing with radiance
Of love stories gone right
Flashed on my face from above
And he cashed my money
With his finger tips
(I admire that money)
And I follow myself out
With another romance
European film
Dedicated to him
To be watch at the night hour
When he'll come home
Then
It's like he's with me.

Nor

I wept
In a milk
That of not white
I wept regularly:
At the inability
To identify these murmurs
Vibrating throughout myself
And came the cancer
I was unkown of

"I have never breathed from a muscular lung
Nor stood
Straight with iron bones
Nor held hands
Or sprang through a field
Infested with shine
And whine
And fine cheese
Over porcelain plates
Seen the golden blonde hair
Radiate
Like a halo
From around her face
Or heard through clean ears
The distinction
Of the stomach
With laughter
Donned
In her white gown
Sailing the grass
Until sunset"

Nor will I ever.

Z Cat Strikes

How I once had worthy paws
Slick and sharpened claws
Balance of cliffhangers brimming hell
A cat cleaing itself
When in absurdity
Out sprung a salty dog!
Uncastrated and tongue inhumane
Enraveled and strong in it's ignorance and stupidity
Aroused by my elegance and studiness
Prowled with hazy eyes and bark
To have mounted and searched for tenderness!
When I had been insulted
I clawed it's idle eyes out of their chamber
Groaned in uncontentness
And showed his blind self to the butcher
To where his lame meat be fed
In my bowl and devoured
By my greedy tongue
And burther prayed upon mice
And under my ease
Have had people wrapped around my claws
And lived on prepared by my bath of spit and tongue.

Very nice work. You paint a detailed picture, but very focused at the same time.

In Winter

Upon the northern landscapes we drove
Throughout the fields of snow and icy cove

Home in the metals of a heated car
Home in a place unfamiliar and far

Home in the intimate sphere of your breath
Protected by flimsy steel from sleepy death

The sun rose and lit the bulbs of white
Crystallized amongst ground and above all height

Blossomed as a child would with cheeks red
Laughter overwhelming, all aging been fled

With a pardon and exit and a chest grown strong
With the blankets draped and hours gone long

He may not have deeply loved me at all
But atleast I felt something; atleast something small.

As A Good Daughter Would Lear A Man Gone Wrong

I had feigned a wounded girl right
Across the screen, luminous all night
And smelled his stench through the vibrant light
A wild beast who has come to take bite!

And so I tempted him to the door
And played naivete and innocense gone poor
How he caressed like ghouls at a moor
Baring witness to life and youth at it's core!

So I danced my step through barbed wire
In his room with walls bleeding desire
When to his own calling went under heavy tire
Slept through his fastening and gloomy choir!

Woke to the sight of blood in his hands
His hair butchered to cowardly strands
His pants gone like a grenade when it lands
And his bone structure held together with bands!

For sir, I have done good deeds!
For sir, you mistakened me to play by your needs!

Like a good daughter, I have come for good slaughter!
Like a good daughter, I have come for good slaughter!

Z Cat Strikes *Rhyme Edit*

How I once had worthy paws
Have made slick and sharpened claws
Balance of cliffhangers brimming hell
Bathed in feline trance and female spell

When in absurdity out sprung a salty dog!
Covered in grime and soup of a bog!
Uncastrated and tongue inhumane!
His mouth sick and verbally profane!
Enraveled and strong in it's ignorance and stupidity!
With a broken leash and brooding liberty!

Aroused by my elegance and eyes like a city
My joyous songs and my coat fur that's pretty-

Prowled with hazy eyes and bark
His mind so simple and his eyes so dark!

To have mounted and searched for tender!
Under abruptness left to surrender!

When I had been insulted I clawed it's idle eyes out of their place
Groaned in uncontentness and cried in disgrace!
And showed his blind self to the butcher to where his lame meat be fed
In my bowl and devoured by my my greedy tongue instead!

And further prayed upon mice and under my ease
Have servents and lessers sickened by tease
To live on with an anthem played for and sung
And lived on prepared by my bath of spit and tongue.

"Like a good daughter, i have come for good slaughter."

I've thought about that line for at least two days now. Keep up the good work

That whole poem was about the movie Hard Candy with Ellen Page. She's one of my favorite actresses, and her mentality in that movie drove me to write it.

Thanks for the compliment!

Lust Is Spewing His Pollen

Irons and waxes
Oils and chalices
Buttered and melted
Molten and sculpted

Lust is spewing his pollen

Robes and rings
Shades and locks
Dimmed and torched
Wide and elastic

Lust is spewing his pollen

Urns and vaces
Vices and bowls
Fruit and flowers
Seeds and bosoms

Lust is spewing his pollen.

Judged By The Laureate

I run to a faucet
With palms wide
Open like doors
Hoping that the sparkling faucet
Would pour the froth
Of something legendary in my hands
-However invisible to my eye!

I bring the chalace made of my flesh
A cup of hands
To the senior
Whose face smitten with time
And skin pried open by the hands
Left with a seam running down
The slope of his face
Done over a thousand times-

I held this water
To his pampered lips
A poet's lips
And gently tilted
As to let his ancient throat
Trickle down with something
Liquid and young.

He sat in deliberation
Eyes fastened to the sky
Muscles -although weary
Gently tensed in their decision.

My own eyes wide
Bright;
A childs face glued to the glass
Light shimmering in my eyes...

Then,
To be patted on the head
Insincerely
Shooed
And told to play in sand.

But I,
I want pools of opportunity.
