All the ways you wish you could be, that's me. I look like you wanna look, I **** like you wanna ****, I am smart, capable, and most importantly, I am free in all the ways that you are not.

I don't think they hate you, but as a Norwegian, which is a part of Europe, I do sense a sort of scepticism towards Americans in many European countries, especially since the war in Iraq. I remember this American professor at the University of Oslo (which is the capital here in Norway) and she said; "I was amazed when I first came here. Not because people were unfriendly, but how much they strongly opposed American policy on several matters." And I guess she's right. When you live in a country like Norway, you tend to get fed up with the Americanization and what seems to be the Americans attempt to rule the world. The political climate in the US and Norway are very different and many people here oppose many of Bush's actions. I do too.

I know that many don't, but he's the leader and what regular people think of him in America doesn't matter (well, it does matter, but he's the one we see on tv, that commands troops to Iraq), in the sense that he's in charge.

Don't be an idiot. Having a queen that no one in this country cares about, and your country cares a lot more about is entirely different from a country where the people don't want to see anything outside of it. People who just don't want to travel, are ridiculously up their own country's arse. Cultural awareness, is, as far as I'm concerned, probably the most important kind of education one can have.

I wish I could do that. I'm a student with a part-time job and I can't afford to really even travel out of the state I live in most of the time. I'd really love to be able to travel more, but college is just far too expensive to allow me to do that nearly as much as I'd like to.
As for that quiz...
You Are 33% American

America: You don't love it or want to leave it.
But you wouldn't mind giving it an extreme make over.
On the 4th of July, you'll fly a freak flag instead...
And give Uncle Sam a sucker punch!
I wasn't serious. And ever consider that most can't afford to travel? I sure as hell can't. So drop it. Oh, and Cultural awareness is not the most important form of education.
