The only real game is Animal Crossing, everything else is just casual Wii ___ games. IGN says that the Mario and Zelda teams are working on games, but that is not good enough. GTA DS? I dont have high hopes for that.
Disappointing that Nintendo didn't announce a major franchise game for Wii. The only franchise game announced was Animal Crossing. No Mario/Zelda/Metroid/Pokemon/DK/StarFox/Kirby. Those are the best games they make, and the main reason I own a Wii.
At least Iwata confirmed that there will be a new Zelda and a new Mario game for Wii.
I wish Nintendo wouldn't publish so many games that I would rather play on another platform. Those games are usually underwhelming when compared to games that are exclusive to the Wii.
Very excited about Animal Crossing 2, Wii Music, and Star Wars CW. I hope that WiiSpeak works with the next iteration of SSB.

It took 5+ years for the next Mario game to come out, Retro Studios says they're working on something other then Metroid, a Kirby game for the Wii has been announced since before E3, I doubt we'll hear anything about a new Smash Bros game for some time (considering it took around 7 years for Brawl to be released),
A new Pokemon DS game is being developed (I forget the name but it's to be the Yellow/Crystal to Diamond and Pearl), Nintendo made mention of Star Fox being perfect for the Wii though nothing more has been said about it, DK 64 has been confirmed for the DS as a port so really the only games I except to hear about from Nintendo are Zelda and Star Fox.
i think Nintendo is playing it smart. Spreading out all their AAA titles throughout the years. Im sure they dont wanna blow their load all at once right? Third Party games (although most of em are mediocre) are still driving enough sales for nintendo that they Do Not need to ship their big games (metroid, zelda mario, etc) at this point. Animal Crossing as mainstream as it is and wiiResort, Carnival Games could win big with casual gamers that eat up all of this
I agree that it's a bit too soon for another Zelda/Mario/Metroid, but this is prime-time for a DK adventure game.
I'd be happy with Kirby game. Or a new Star Fox Wii game. A Pokemon Action-RPG would be awesome, too. But Raving Rabbids? I think Nintendo is getting a bit too caught up in the Wii-Mote/Peripherals. Hardcore gamers need love too.
The next SSB is at least 3 years away, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's already in development. I think I heard something about that Kirby game. It would have been nice if they at least mentioned it at E3
I already know about Pokemon Platinum. I mean a Pokemon RPG for Wii.
I want a new DK adventure game. Not a DK64 port.
(not that it was a bad game)

Man I miss the time when they had the whole thing going with MC > TP > PH. In those days we were always looking forward to the next Zelda adventure. And now? nothing.
However we do need a new DK adventure game...
Now that they have shown the Wii motion plus, I can't wait to see what they do with future sword games, I mean did the Wii sports sword fighting game not show great hope for the future?

Hopefully
The next SSB game will probably be on a future console. Nintendo likes to do things in sets per console on certain games (IE: 1 SSB/console, 2 Zelda/console, etc.)
I usually play Zelda for the great stories, but 1:1 controls in a Zelda game would be revolutionary. It's what everyone expected for TP.
It probably wouldn't be totally 1:1 though. I think that would be kinda... weird. Or maybe hard to control. That depends on how long the Wii lives, which could be quite a bit longer than Nintendo's previous consoles. Remember, without the delay(s) (the big one, and the little ones), it would have been 5 years between SSBs.
I wonder if TP counts against our 2 per console? Technically it's GC.

THat's what I'm hoping. Or the fabled Light Saber Wii game that everyone has wanted since the system's release.
Good point
I hope not, and if you think about it TP did 2 things no Zelda before it did. (1) it was the first Zelda game to be released on 2 consoles simultaneously and (2) [unless I am mistaken] it was the first Zelda to be used as a launch title for a new system.

... but at least I'm intrigued by the sword game in WiiSports, and WiiTalk sounds ok, voicechat was really needed... Hopefully it will really be used for voice chat
....at least there's TGS to look forward to... usually good games are announced there...

They seem too content with the state of things now, its about the money to them. They are selling Wiis like crazy to casual players, so thats basically where their entire focus is. Of everything they showed today, I probably wont play a damn one.
And guys, do you really have any idea what 1:1 controls would entail? I don't think they're EVER going to really exist. It's a cool idea in theory until you actually start to think about it.
lmao LittleBigPlanet showing with statistics!! clever ahahah niice
Greatest Hits!!
edit: although im sure resistance 2 and littlebigplanet will be out by november, the presenters and jack shoudl really say when the games are coming out
