yeah God of War 3 was awesome, littlebigplanet, MAG, and inFamous looked sick. Not really any suprises from Sony though. I was hoping Jack would jab at Microsoft abit...i wanted to see live demos (kudos to microsoft for having those)
i was also hoping for, Twisted Metal, Ape Escape, Zone of Enders and new Jak and Daxter in any form, more PS Home, Uncharted among the Greatest Hits titles, i guess i set my bar too high...

We might see those on the conference floor still, who knows. There's still a FFVII announcement that Square has to make and we don't have it yet. We'll see later this week.

It's concerning the "Compilation of FFVII" series, not a remake. It may be a sequel or a different entity entirely, but I read an article from Square denying the remake but saying there is a FFVII announcement still to be had.
i read on psu.com awhile ago that if the original team that did ffvii gets every single team member together, then they will do a remake, but also that most of the original team is scattered across many new projects.
also i thought a suprise from Sony would be them working with Bungie Studios to make a game, since Bungie.net is teasing people with their website. but guess not
Square is putting too much focus on FFVII. Everyone is jumping for a remake/prequel/sequel to VII when they could put effort more into the three or maybe four Kingdom Hearts games, the three or so Final Fantasy XIII games, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles for the Wii, and the many, many more games they're working on. Makes me wonder how much effort they're putting into all these games.
I would actually like to see FFIV: The After have an international release.
yeah i can see why all these Square Enix games have like no release dates lol FFXIII, FXIII Versus, Star Ocean, Infinite Undiscovery, The Last Remnant, etc etc.
People have petitioned for a remake of FFVII, and i dont blame them, the story and universe is rich and epic, and there is a new generation of gamers that haven't experienced something like that before. But square enix has too much on their hands already.

You know, I think I might hate bungie... not sure yet... They put up a countdown that is counting untill a specific time tomorrow (can't really remember when it was supposed to be) then kill it at 12 hrs remaining. Either they screwed something up or this is an amazing ploy to throw us off guard.
I haven't seen day 1 yet since I had to work today so if there was information about it today and I sound like a raving idiot, well that's how I normally sound.
I really don't care much about it being true 1:1, but I love the fact that the attachment gives a more accurate perception of movement to the Wiimote.
Ever since I notice the wiimote doesn't work properly (it doesn't: if you move the wiimote fast downwards, when you're supposed to do so upwards, the game still recognizes it as if you're moving it up... the same with left and right) and most of the time screws up subtle movements, I've been sort of disappointed with the Wii (that and waggle fest games)
But this thing actually improves gameplay, and could improve many games (granted developers actually do a good job with their games) and I'm really happy with it. Games like Red Steel 2, Project Hammer (if it still exist), a SW game, or the new Zelda (there's one coming) could benefit greatly with it.
To be honest, I never thought Nintendo would do anything to improve the wiimote this gen, I expected this to be the future Wiimote 2.0 for the next Nintendo console.
back on E3: I was surprised by Resistance coming to the PSP, didn't know about it, I'm really looking forward to it now

It's not that 1:1 is not technically possible, and it's not even that it cannot be used for good games, and the Remote extension looks like it could be pretty good.
The problem is that people grossly exaggerate what 1:1 movement will actually allow, and this is most visible in people who think it can be used to create the perfect lightsabre game. It doesn't work because it is only modelling your grip- vitally important things like the physical position of your body, and lock when you hit another blade, are beyond it; it's getting into VR territory. You only have to think about it for a few seconds- as soon as your blade hits another blade in game, it stops but your real-life hand doesn't; that's buggered your 1:1 movement right there.
Hence all you will ever be able to manage there is some kind of thing where movements produce certain results on-screen, NOT a literal sabre fighting experience. People who think that 1-1 movement there is the holy grail to a perfect game are deluding themselves.
There are things it COULD manage, sure. 'Swordplay' sounds very stylised, like fencing. In that sort of environment (movement not an issue, for example) you have much more scope- reduce your ambition and it will work fine. It could handle that the same way the basic one does tennis- it's not LITERAL tennis, and the comouter handles all the movement for you in Wii Tennis, but it still works well as a game. That's what it will still be here; I look forward to seeing how good it is, but you must temper your desires here with common sense.
So when people ask for 'a 1-1 lightsabre duelling system' it will not happen. It will be 'a lightsabre duelling system that makes some use of the 1-1 capabilities of the remote, and that's very different indeed.
(Incidentally, Red Steel's swordfighting was absolutely fine.)
Where 1:1 IS very handy, though, is in games like Golf.

They don't mention swordplay in that particular article, they just say the 1:1 does work ...not to extent you mention (and everyone seems to think, or wish for) but at least in being capable to detect slight movements to 1:1 replication on screen (of course you dont get physical feedback, and don't even control the movement of your character)
