Why do you give a shit? Your obviously over the age of 18. So who cares.
I dont give a shit about the ratings board. Nobody cares about the movies ratings board and I'm positive that ERSB is alot better than the movie ratings board.
In 20 years this is not going to be an issue at all. So kids under 18 cant buy an M rated game, so they'll have to find another way of buying it, or getting it, just like how I used to sneak into R rated movies when I was a kid.

Can't believe you didn't play it. I would have thought you'd play that immediately after the Main Game if anything to get insight into the main story. That was my thinking behind it anyways. I haven't touched any of the other bonus games and won't until I finish "Seperate Ways". I want it to flow together nicely.
You don't see what the fuss is about?
Next Week that 9 year old boy is going to be flipping around, cutting people and shooting Las Plagas.
Nah, I get bored pretty quickly with games. It's a problem that I have. So after I beat the single player, I tried Ada and I was Resident Evil 4 out. I will eventually play it sooner or later, probably next summer after I finish all the ****ing games that came out this fall.
I meant was that I didnt see why people are making such a big deal about the ERSB ratings board. I dont agree that kids should be allowed to play violent videogames at an young age, and if I have kids, I wouldnt have my child play those games until he/she is ready, but I also agree that its the parents, or guardians responsbility for the child and if they dont mind their child playing RE4, well, who is to stop them.
I do agree that videogames should have an ratings board.

Well as far as the AO rating go, any game that gets that is as good as dead. It's like a death sentence.
If I end up with kids by some unfortunate mishap, they'll play certain games at appropriate ages as well. Not necessarily what the ERSB deems appropriate though. I'll just use those as guidelines and check it out myself if need be.
I care, be...CAUSE Manhunt 2 isn't released yet maybe and I pre-ordered it? I don't want to pay for a heavily censored game because Nintendo made their console with motion sensor controls, and that's suppose to be Rockstar's fault. It isn't my fault the ESRB are a bunch of pansies who won't go in the movies today and see Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Saw 1-3, 300, Hostel 1 & 2, and see that kind of stuff is normal these days.
That still shouldn't be the way it is, it should be sold on the internet as is, because I don't think anyone over 18 should be treated the same ways as teenagers trying to sneak buy the game. If all the VG stores asked for ID like they should, there would be no problem at all with selling AO games.

First is that you can cut off somebodies head and then jam it on an axe handle to get past a guard. That's pretty damn violent.
Also, I heared, and it was from somebody in this forum, that you can cut open the stomach of somebody, and then hang him with his intestines. I personally dont think thats true, but if it is, how can you not get an AO rating.
Even an ex Rockstar employee thought the game went to far.
The second is purely rumor similar to the necrophilia rumor.
As far as the 2nd 'act' being inside the Apartments with hookers/the sex place/and torture place. The thing about Manhunt is that it always has to do with the plot, so most likely the 'narrator' owns the torture place/sex club/whatever, so that would all tie in to the plot.
It isn't mindless violence in the respect of Hostel style, or Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Hell, even Saw 1 & 2 at least had lessons behind it, 3, not so much.

I think it was in the first level that Gamespot played.
It doesnt matter if its part of the plot, the fact remains is that its an extremely violent game and its purely developed to be an violent game. Why does anybody actually talk about the actual gameplay, they dont, its always about the violence.
I dont see why its such an issue that it was rated AO.
You do have a point that they're is movies that are just as violent but then again, its a movie, not a videogame and cannot be compared to Manhunt 2.
So, aside from not caring about it coming out period, and saying the AO is what it deserved, did you play the first game, like it, hate it, or all together you could careless about the saga?

I've most likely died 15 times already (Admittedly on bosses and an embarrassing three times from receiving a hatchet to the face on the chain-cage...thing (f*ck can't remember it's name).
Yup, Professional is ridiculously a step up, I died on the boulder running like 5 times on Ps2. And the village attack at the start almost killed me once too, only on Professional to, and NOT by Dr. Salvador.

Yeah, except that Veteran players who like to move quickly buy the BB as soon as they enter the Castle, and the Riot Gun next. I can't afford the Riot Gun at the start of the castle, because I use an RL on El Gigante now.
Well, did, last year, and in 05 when I played.
