I've been trying to find out the cause of the slowness that I've been seeing around KMC lately, and I have finally found out the reason.
I did some optimizations a while back to help speed up large threads. This however was only been taken advantage by people who used the default "posts per page" option.
People who changed it from the default were using the old behavior which caused the server to scan threw many thousands of posts to return a result. Which according to the logs could take up to a minute or even longer.
As such, for the betterment of the forums, I have removed this option and defaulted everyone to use the optimized method.
So many people should now see a speed increase in the response they get.
