I played 3 of the 5 main games. Can't say I didn't like them, but I'm not exactly a fan. Couldn't possibly give less of a damn about all kinds of spin-offs and movies.

I've played all the main RE games(including Code Veronica) and I used to be a hardcore fan, but not anymore. The new style has some nice stuff the originals lacked, but they also lost something. Anyways I'm going to keep playing RE games until the end.
As for the movie...I could care less about it. The movies are cool but I don't take any of them seriously...besides Apocalypse and that is because of the babelicious Jill.
Same here pretty much. The only way I'll care about RE Afterlife is if Wesker himself does something awesome in the movies this time, but he probably won't, or will likely just get humiliated by Milla Jovovich's character either way.

Oh, him.
Eh, he's all right I guess, and I reckon he would be especially good for someone like Chris. I just hope they don't do to him what they did to Carlos in RE Extinction.

Resident Evil 4 and 5 are very awesome games but don't be dissing the classics like that because we wouldn't have 4 and 5 if it wasn't for those games. If those classics weren't such a big hit, we wouldn't be seeing a secret agent Leon or a steroid fueled Chris so remember that.
I'd like to see a RE game with Billy Coen as the main character. I always wonder what he's been doing after the events of Resident Evil 0.
Yeah but I get the feeling Chris may have more justice in Afterlife than Albert Wesker because lets face it, who the heck other than Keanu Reeves can play as a perfect role for the guy? Certainly not that Irishman that's for sure because he didn't even remotely look similar to Albert which is just insulting.
RE1, RE2, and RE4 are the only ones I really liked. The rest are pretty "meh". One of my friends says that 5 is better than 4. I really have no idea how he could say that.
Well, don't judge him until we actually see him dress up and act as Wesker. Who knows, he may surprise us.
A lot of people had the same kind of reaction when people heard Ledger was going to be Joker before TDK came out.
Yeah, but compared to other video game-based movies, I don't mind them at all.
In some ways, 5 actually is better than 4 IMO. The die-hard RE4 fans just have a problem accepting that some think RE5 is better for some reason. Most criticize RE5 for its "terrible story" or somethin' like that. Well it's not like RE4 had a great story itself (rescuing a president's whiny daughter and getting her out alive).
Meh. I hate when this comparison's brought up.

Though I must say I believe Silent Hill stands as the best VG-based movie so far.
I don't mind RE5. I just didn't find anything original at all, and the controls seriously piss me off. RE4 had the same "shitty" controls, but since it brought so many things new to RE I didn't mind them. However I liked being able to end the rivalry between Chris and Wesker.
I just hope they take some clues from Dead Space when they decide to make another RE.
My problem was not the storyline. Obviously both storylines are kind of campy. There just wasn't enough differences in RE5 to make it good. It wasn't scary or or even difficult at all. There wasn't a single boss fight where I was like "omgomgomgomg i'm gonna die!" The controls were the same, the inventory system was much worse, and since you need your partner to help you out with some things you can't put that retarded AI bot in a dumpster and leave it there till you get done with killing things in the surrounding area. If you're playing with someone else that's not an issue though. It didn't feel like a horror game at all to me. It was more like "gears of evil". Chris Redfield's ridiculously bulked up look didn't endear me to the game either. It was fun, but I doubt I'd ever pick it up again.
I enjoyed the Mercenaries mode quite a bit. However, RE5 was still an unremarkable game to me.

Well Heath Ledger is a different actor. The actor we're discussing is an easily forgettable Irishman with a bad hair style. Hey I just figured out a catch phrase for the guy. "Help, they're after me Lucky Uroboros!"
