On a side note, you should include Surfer taking a shot from Tenbrous and surviving. and some other things from Annhilation klike the whole energy signature thing.

Consider the one that is, as I've never really noticed this before...
Notice first of all that the Surfer makes the right tactical move: he separates Thor from Mjolner. After unrelenting fire, Thor is down.
Notice in the next to last panel of the second scan, where the Surfer says his cosmic field will keep the hammer away, where Thor is crawling on the ground: this is the pause that later enables Thor to win.
Imagine if the Surfer had remained unrelenting in his assault.

PIMPin' Surfer is great. I didn't know he was that good with the ladies. You know...heralding death for planets and fighting cosmic forces should >>> ladies, but not for the Surfer. He can do all of that and still get teh puss.
