Now whether that happened there or not is another topic entirely, but it should be noted that his physical form was completely unscathed while he jumped into the singularity and head on into the current quasar forming out of it.
His board being gone in either case would contradict both however. An explanation is that the universe creator Singularity sent him on his way with his board. Otherwise Surfer simply went to sleep outside a black hole, and the whole scene with him entering was completely unnecessary and an illusion. Why did he even need to go there in the first place if he was going to have a nap outside?
As well as here's Surfer saying he flew outside time and space, and considering the outside of the Singularity was inside time and space, and he FLEW outside time and space, that kind of says what was shown actually happened. Since he flew there. You know. He flew outside time and space, and into the Singularity. http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/..._v4_010_13a.jpg
What happened before he entered the Singularity was physical. After that it just became more Silver Surfer Volume 4. As to why the Singularity was firing off a quasar is a good guess though. Maybe it was to keep dooders away.
Now, K'ad-Mon (Man Thing) wasn't at the level of God obviously, but he was extremely powerful, and way beyond the level of normal Man-Thing. With his staff he was pretty much warping reality and time to go back to the Golden Age of Alantis, as well as recreating the Book of Life while vibrating off the shards of the nexus of reality: http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/...arring_2-16.jpg http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/...arring_2-17.jpg
And arrives back to the little girl. Note they're wearing the exact same clothes with the same people. Which indicates all this happened within a very short time. http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/...er/cs199610.jpg
To all the "Surfer can be depowered by tech" peeps, this strat doesn't work anymore.
Surfer has resisted being depowered by Galactus himself by simply temporarily "de-silvering" himself. And he did this just as Galactus blasted him at point blank range.
And all this, throwing a moon at Galactus, and "resisting" getting drained by Galactus and he didn't run out of any power. I think it's safe to say that Surfer's stamina isn't an issue anymore.
Surfer uses his Power Cosmic to literally fold the fabric of space and create a transwarp tunnel large enough to transport 3 billion spaceships light-years away.
