I Pm'ed Chris Claremon't about the Galactic core feat and also asked him about what he thought about her feat in FF4 with eternity; he had this to say:

quote: (post)
quote: (post)
Hi, how are you??

I have one question.........well two.

What do you think of Ororo containing the power of Eternity in Fantastic four 550??

And did Ororo harness the composite power of the Galactic Core in Uncanny 165??

Dear "Energy" --

Forgive me, but since I no longer have any responsibility for Ororo as a character, I don't feel it's appropriate for me to comment on her appearance(s)
in other title, by other writers. As for your other question, it certainly looked that way -- but she was much younger then and had no concept of her limitations.

Cordially,

Chris Claremont

And it should also be noted that it seems that Ororo's own perception of her limitations partly dictates her power.

This can also be seen within the nature of the feat which was basically desperation/suicide so she didn't really care.

Well, everyone with intelligence already knew that she wielded the composite power of the core. The issue stated she wielded its FULL power. Anyone who disagrees simple lacks a simple basic reading comprehension. However, I am sure that all of us on this board are in total agreement that she summoned the full power of the core as the issue stated. This board is full of people with above a third grade level education, so nobody will dissent what was stated in plain english in canon. big grin

you want to talk about how much you love storm, that's perfectly fine, but such broad comments trying to put down people's intelligence simply because they don't agree with you won't be tolerated, so stop...

Rutog, am I correct in saying that it's not so much tolerating other's opinions which are contrary to yours, but it's more of the reason why these people disagree which warrants them being called out as being unintelligent?

alot of people have genuine reasons for disagreeing with the arguments he has put forth... they're easily as worthwhile and as well thought out as he believes his own arguments to be...

no more blanket statements about forum members just because the majority is against you rutog...

The first part of your comment is your opinion only. Its not fact. The second half, okay. You have a point about the blanket statements.

translation: the majority rules no matter how baseless their claims are, so don't argue because you're in the minortiy and "that's your problem"(very smug remark btw)

See Doctor_Alvis when I challenged him on his opinion and he punked out.

Storm detractors could never truly see either Rutog or I on the grounds of pure debate because one side doesn't really have a leg to stand on other than pure spite and hate because we never veer from our opinions no matter how much ridicule or how much the majority may rule.

Side note: I don't have a problem. Do you Rutog??

laughing out loud@ having a "ginuine opinion"

case in point:

When I showed Storm dodging Candra-posessed Cyclops' optic blast, pr1983 said Candra was/basically had to be a bad shot with absolutely no proof of his claim. He only made the statement to degrade the feat.

Let's say Candra was infact a "bad shot", why do you think she machine-gunned the blast and basically blitz-krieged Storm with a hail of shots?? Yet, she STILL dodged every last one.

Then on top of this, he agrees that Storm would somehow get "one-shotted" by none other than CYCLOPS himself in the Phoenix/Cyc vs Logan/Storm thread.

Such ****ing nonesense from the other side.

This is why I'm so arrogant and smug because it's always some lie to try to degrade the character for no good reason.

I laugh at the senslessnesslaughing out loud

You are a problem. Both of you.

Oh and Darkcrawlers thread made you look like the joke you are. You posted stuff he showed it was BS. But you are to stupid to understand.

DarkCrawler didn't do shit, especially in light of her recent showings.

That same "green phoenix" beat firelord. By his logic, storm can do the same.

More of those same types of showings to come if I can help itsmile

their claims have just as much if not more base than yours, just because you don't like it doesnt make it false...

quote:
See Doctor_Alvis when I challenged him on his opinion and he punked out.

thats swanky... you were honestly taking him seriously?

quote:

aww, boo hoo... this coming from someone who tried to play the race card in debates, even though many people had read the exact same comic you had, and managed to take it into context...

and you really don't get it do you? very few of the people who argue against you don't actually hate storm, they're simply happy to debate for her at a reasonable level... YOU are responsible for any anti-storm sentiment on this forum, whether you like it or not...

quote:
When I showed Storm dodging Candra-posessed Cyclops' optic blast, pr1983 said Candra was/basically had to be a bad shot with absolutely no proof of his claim. He only made the statement to degrade the feat.

What feat? Candra took over cyclops and attacked storm. you're the one who tried to say that:

cyclops' accuracy while attacking storm = his accuracy when he was possessed, which is false...

quote:
Let's say Candra was infact a "bad shot", why do you think she machine-gunned the blast and basically blitz-krieged Storm with a hail of shots?? Yet, she STILL dodged every last one.

yes, she did, and kudos to her, but claiming that that feat means storm could dodge a fully in control of himself cyclops when he has hit targets far more difficult is false, and just plain stretching...

quote:
Then on top of this, he agrees that Storm would somehow get "one-shotted" by none other than CYCLOPS himself in the Phoenix/Cyc vs Logan/Storm thread.

Such ****ing nonesense from the other side.

you're saying a super blast like that wouldnt take her and logan out?

nonsense comes from you it seems...

quote:
This is why I'm so arrogant and smug because it's always some lie to try to degrade the character for no good reason.

again, you miss the point... alot of people arent degrading the character, they just don't agree with the massive upgrade she seems to have while you're debating for her... simple as that. you don't like it, tough.

quote:
I laugh at the senslessnesslaughing out loud

now you know how most of your opponents feel...

I love the Goddess angle int he writing. I miss that.

"She calls it, and it listens, like it ALWAYS has"

I miss that kind of writing.

Also, she can "feels" the elements from underground while they are intangible.

That's what makes Storm so damn cool.
