I want to say Apocalypse win this because of his Celestial armor but, I thought about it. A weakened Magneto took control of a Celestial with ease, a power far greater than Apocalypse which leads to me believing that Magneto could rip Apocalypse to shreds. When it comes to fts...Magneto has them. I'm giving him the win here.
That Celestial had been hijacked by Mister Sinister, and Colossonaut with namor were busting chunks of its armor that were flying about.
Magneto isn't puppeteering a non-compromised Dreaming Celestial on his best day. Except perhaps in Phildo's wet dreams.

Indeed.

I've been trying to recuse myself from this thread due to my own noted Apocalypse super-fandom, but I'd just like to point out that while Apocalypse does use Celestial armor, he also has full control of his atomic structure as well as the power to adapt to conditions on the fly, so I'm fairly certain, with the knowledge going into the match that Magneto controls magnetism and ferrous materials (since Apocalypse would have prior knowledge of Magneto), and this being a non-plot driven forum fight, Apocalypse is likely not going to just stand there remaining in metallic form or not shield himself against EMPs while fighting him, or resort only to melee attacks by morphing his arms into blades, maces, and whips. He could just as easily morph his arm into a non-metallic minigun shooting ceramic rounds, or use his telekinesis and soul/energy absorption powers and drain Magneto like he did Cyclops. Not saying he will in every match, but saying that Magneto is not the only character in this match with options.
That's all I'll say. I won't comment again in this thread.
Exactly... Apocalypse stomps... and actually due to his power... he would stomp Magneto easily.

Magneto controlling the husk of Dreaming Celestial is a proof that Celestial tech / armor is not immune to Magneto's power. Naturally, this does not imply that Magneto could beat Dreaming Celestial himself. But it does imply that wearing a Celestial Armor, like Apo does, is not much of a protection vs. Magneto.
Magneto beats Apo, like he always has in AU stories.

His brain would have been fried if he had continued acting as Tiamut's surrogate nervous system:

I'm seeing a lot of posts in here saying it was far-fetched when Magneto ripped Apocalypse's body in half in AoA. My question is, what's so hard to believe?
Apparently, Apocalypse only has molecular control over his body, Magneto has ATOMIC control over metal. Technically, Magneto has better control of Apocalypse's body.
If you were to ask me, the whole AoA storyline was far-fetched since Mags could've killed Apocalypse in their first encounter.
Not to mention, the OP seems to be using AoA versions....

bottom line seems to be that he can, and has, controlled celestial metals. both in and out of canon. i don't think it can be disputed at this point. the real question is could apoc survive what mags could do to him. he SHOULD be able to, given his power set, but could he then put mags down? i don't think so. mags is just a bad match up for apoc imo.

Magneto was also weakened when he controlled that Celestial. Not even a fraction of his true power. No telling what he could have done at full power. Hell, the guy forcefully put a Celestial body back together iirc.

Putting back Tiamut's body is the very same feat as controlling that Celestial. And he wasn't controlling that Celestial, Sinister was. There was no indication in that comic itself that he was weakened.
As my scan points out, acting as the Celestial's nervous system for enough time would have caused his brains to get liquefied.
Context, carver. Con-motherfu cking-text.

Post the scene.
Also...lol at him 'not' being weakened. He clearly say it in the same comic we are referencing. Lol.

Already did on this very page. Try to keep up.
That was after he suffered from the strain of keeping Tiamut's body from falling apart. That's not being weakened, it's being exhausted from physically tampering with the being of a Celestial. Something that is way beyond his paygrade.
Edit- here you go, carter:

I know it was after but I don't remember him saying anything about that ft weakening him. Also, wasn't it stated some issues back before the Celestials event that Magneto isn't fully powered. Let me see.

Then you're selectively blind and selectively illiterate.
Not in Gillen's Uncanny run, nor much of the X-tinction team arc.

You know...I was going to take the time to look for that scan proving my case right about Magneto being depowered until I realized who I was debating. We are done here. Nobody has time for these childish insults. If you respond know that you will not get a reply from me.

"I am acting as surrogate nervous system to a cosmic deity. If you don't resolve this situation with haste, expect my brains to leak from my eye sockets."
Of course you won't bother to now, since there isn't a single goddamned instance you can find to actually prove that X-tinction Magneto was weakened prior to Sinister's provocation of the Celestials. That's the real reason, not my supposed flaming of you.
