Meaning, The Presence has total control over everything that transpires in the DCU.
The Presence represents both the writer/s and the in-universe Supreme being of DC.
Equating Thanos with THOTI to The Presence is like equating Michael and Lucifer to TOAA.
Again, please use analysis:
The Presence =/= TOAA >>> Thanos w/ THOTI =/= Michael and Lucifer

I've read what you're talking about. He tells Spectre he exists in dimensions the Spectre doesn't know of.
...Okay. Not the same thing at all. Spectre doesn't have an incarnation in the 5th dimension. And Mxy messes with the writers, who Spectre also has no knowledge of. Is Mxy the Supreme Being of the DCU? No way.

THOI was claimed to be TOAA'S equal by thanos when he abosorbed it.
I'm pretty sure TOAA manipulated thanos to recreate the omniverse thus destroying Thanos himself in the process.
GOD (TOAA) created the universe by saying "let there be_______" and it existed. SO could thanos's power from what TOAA only had to speak of for it to be there.Surpass that 100% un-surpassable power of the creator?

But technically speaking,
TOAA created a flaw in the 616 reality,
this flaw was irreparable and thus was going to sunder all of Marvel.
There was no power sufficient enough to fix it,
ONLY the TOAA's power was up to the task,
so .. since TOAA never directly involves him/her/themselves in stories,
TOAA created a power source -
- that represented what TOAA's power would be withIN the Omniverse.
All of Marvel needed to be erased & re-created (even the LT)
with the exception of Warlock (the anomalous one) and Death (Thanos' love)
The only power capable of even affecting the LT is TOAA's power,
let alone erasing and re-creating him.
