Just watched the vid, it was a good fight. Dude kicked Marn's ass. That's what that Fat Dirty Bastard gets. Props to Marn for revealin' C.Viper for MVC3 days before it even happened, tho. I wonder how old Wolfkrone is, he looks pretty damn young and he beats ass with a PS2 controller. WTF?!

They shouldn't nerf anyone, only buff the guys that need it. Some of the changes they're makin' boggle my mind. Still, at the very least, they buffed the people that REAL REALY needed it. Now, how am "I" gonna get the AE?
Gief and Seth WTF me the most, though.

I agree. THey should leave the top tier alone and just buff the chars that are lacking in tools. THey have done some very tough decisions. It seems like they are trying to take out the "lame out" strats for all good chars. Which is lame IMHO, but meh. Such moves would be stuff like Blanka abusing the balls on characters that can't counter them; removing Seth's jumping Dhalsim-like jumping fierce(WTF); Guile's insane meter gain with booms and Sim's damage on his pokes among many many others.
I question most of these nerfs and it just seems like they just took the easy way out by just crippling certain characters without taking in mind how these nerfs can inbalance other matchups. An example would be Rog vs Ryu. Without air-tatsu escape and with a nerfed crouching medium kick it is going to be hell for Ryu.
Oh well at least Hakan and all the lower tier characters got much needed buffs. I love the fact Sakura got so many buffs.
I honestly like the fact of not having air tatsu as an escape vehicle, even as a Purist Ryu player because it made getting out of tough situations far too easy and made corner situations laughable to get out of in multiple occasions.
They should really tone down Ultra's, and raise the damage of regular moves higher. To me, less emphasis on Ultra is and will always be a must, but I will most likely never see that happening.
Also, I am 100% in total agreement on the pointless continued nerfs of the powerful to strong characters. The only things worth nerfing are things that are downright dumb, outside of that I wouldn't mind alot of things. Not to mention that just simply nerfing, and nerfing will make the game stale. Like for example even w/o the rolls in CvS2 the projectiles were absolutely laughable, Guile's flash kick getting stuffed out by numerous random attacks was laughable, even though he was great in that game, it didn't stop it from being stupid.
To see Guile suffer that much of a change up in this "new" SF4 just shakes my head. Nerfing flash kick damage? So I guess that was too powerful? Lol? I dunno, just makes me wonder.
Claw's fixes are okay, however they really, really, really, really, really, really need to go back and look at SF2 Claw to get an idea of what made him good. Firstly, Claw's Wall Dives Post SF2 are overall pretty pathetic and lame, while in SF2 they were very effective, because of the height, range and more importantly the greater control of him while he was airborne making much more effective.
I feel that if they did that for Claw that it would improve his wall dives greatly, and also give slightly better priority on his pokes so that it will install more fear into his positioning game once more.
Absolutely Love the beef ups on Zangief's SPD for damage and range, this has almost always received the Nerf Ban on every single SF game, however they need to keep this strong so that it puts fear into opposing players. This will directly help players into understanding their characters zoning and positioning strategies against good Zangief players which in turn will filter out into other characters. So for Gief, I'm a big fan of this change.
Bringing back Ryu's option to trade LP Shoryu into Ultra is lame, I was happy that it was removed from SSF4 all together, however bringing that back will only dumb down Ryu players by giving us yet another easy-mode option of obtaining damage.
The real option that they should bring back for Ryu is the ability to c.fk buffer into Hadouken again. My goodness, I've missed this option so much for gosh knows how long now in all the present day SF games.
Overall most of the nerfs imo didn't need to happen, some upgrades makes me go WTF, however I have no control over it so meh.

Hmm, for me I wonder why they have ultras that are combo-able into, and then ultras that are just outright chance and so forth.. I know its to keep things interesting.. but its really depressing to see ultras that are labeled "non-viable" and others that are "hands down must-use"
which is why I think I'm more of a KoF player at heart
I'd def like to play some SF with you guys again.. but I have to finish being bored of cataclysm XD
Pretty much, man. I mean, I'm all for balancin' but, we gotta keep the game fun, too. It's the 1st time in a while that Guile has actually been good again. I actually talked to a friend of mine who's an aspirin' fightin' game developer and he says, those guys don't balance by the abilities and power. It's all match-up to match-up which is why "we" don't always understand what's goin' on. They're usin' their own cold hard internal spread sheet to balance things out. But I'm still like, "whatever". Somma this shit just doesn't make sense. Still cannot wait to see how much better Koto's gonna be.

LOL@chocoblanka; did you know she is Momochi's gf?
There are lots of videos out there right now. I saw Akuma's floating tatsu nerf and that shit was so retarded and hillarious I laughed my ass off every time I watched it.
I so forgot about that. It totally slipped my mind. I've seen quite a few female SF players...who are good, recently.
And what's strange is, Tokido says Akuma is in the top tier now. Now if his air Tatsu got nerfed and he's top tier, what does that say 'bout everyone else. Gief (nerfed Greenhand) and KEN bein' somma the best characters now?! That's why I say I'm gonna wait before I get my hopes up.

I dunno if Akuma is top tier, but I read he said Akuma was still viable. The tatsu nerf hurts but lets not forget that Akuma has his teleport and a dragon punch so its not going **** him up that much. Apparentely fireball characters are among the weaker cast since every non-fireball char got buffed. According to Daigo and other players Yun, Yang and Fei Long are top tier. Meh. Yun looks easy mode as ****.
Daigo believes Gief is top tier because he has favorable matchups against all the top tiers so far. But lets keep in mind the game has been out for a couple of days so it is too early to tell. Given Daigo's "switch" I am led to believe Ryu has bad matchups against Yun/Yang and Fei Long. Not too hard to figure out since fighting Fei in Super alone was already hell. Fei with safer rekkas = scariest.shit.ever
Guile got hit hard with damage nerfs and they made his sonic boom give him almost no meter. Ryu gains more meter than Guile in a fireball match, Ryu's fireball meter gain being low.

Yang looks awesome with those rekkas and his excellent ground game. I'm definitely going to be maining him instead of Yun. Yun looks too brain dead. Kindda like Vanilla Ryu/Sagat braindead but with crazy meter gain and insane divekicks. I prefer yang because he looks like a Ryu/ChunLi type of character made up of strong fundamentals plus he has a dive kick. That is never a bad thing unless its a Juri type dicekick.
If I get the chance, I'm gonna hop on the Koto and Hakan train or whoever else is said to suck, 'cept Seth. I tried mainin' Seth when he was decent and I still couldn't hack it. Crazy how so many characters have these damn dive kicks, now. I wanna be hyped for Ken but this sounds too good to be true.
Makoto with man stamina and can combo outta Lp Hayate? Say whaaaaaa!

hmm.. I wonder if these changes are the final changes, or if they will continue to adjust.. I mean from all the hype it seems like these are set in stone or something (at least with the way people are complaining in general)
