That makes sense as I didn't read anything that contradicted what you said...but I don't understand why that would fly. But, to a stupid white-haired wasterner with money, he probably doesn't know the difference between Thai, Japanese, or Korean. To be honest, the only way I could tell is if the lass spoke. (I wouldn't understand what she was saying at all, but I can tell the languages apart from each other.) I have a really hard time dicerning Korean and Japenese people apart from each other....unless they speak. I don't expect them to tell a german apart from a frenchmen unless they spoke, either. Hell, I'd probably have a hard time doing that, too.

I honestly couldn't tell a Frenchman from a German apart unless they spoke with very stereotypical accents and phrases (like, the kh sound or whatever in German)
I certainly couldn't tell one Asian from another. I don't see it as being particularly relevant though...

Also, you can definitely tell if someone is speaking French or if someone is speaking German...if that's their native tongue. Edit - That's a generalization and could be considered racist, in and of itself....so...no matter what I say about it, I'll just sound more racist???
My source doesn't contradict that the Yakuza could give other prostitutes that are not Japanese. The only thing it contradicts is that a Yakuza won't allow their prostitute to be with a westerner, period. They said that was a myth.

if they spoke for long enough, ya. There is enough overlap that some conversations might be difficult at first, especially if it is their native tongue and it becomes harder to parse out phonemes.
No. I can't tell at all. I can only tell if they speak. (Thai, Korean, and Japanese languages are easy to tell apart...cause they are so different sounding.)
i can. but only because i've dated asian women from several countries, and my best friend in college was also asian. he taught me how to tell them apart.
i can't believe i'm saying this, but if i order a japanese hooker and she ends up not being japanese, i'm sending her back.
